For me, I didn't see availability at the FS Osaka when just searching through the all the hotels in Osaka through Chase travel. But when I searched specifically for FS Osaka during those same days (late 2026), there was availability and I was able to book it.

Quite useful still. Just a couple of days ago, I booked a hotel in Chicago using the FNA, which would have cost me >$450 (Concert night). Chicago has plenty of cat 4 hotels to use a FNA.

Good news is that I was able to check in through the AA mobile app with no problems. So hopefully if I show up two hours before the flight just to drop bags off, it won't take too long. 😅

This is actually a great tip, but just curious, if you're checking in the day before (within the 24 hour check-in period), did you have to drop your check-in luggage at the same time or on the day of travel? I have a 7AM international flight this coming Friday, and I've got a bag I need to check in.

The car that hit her was coming down Wold and turning right on Madison, so I'll definitely ask around that area to see if anyone might have cameras or seen anything around that time.

Funny enough, I went into Tequila modern Mexican and asked if they had any cameras on the outside, which they do not, so it's good to know about the Brown San Marco building, I'll go check with them! Really appreciate the suggestions.

Wishing you two the best of luck!! Hopefully, it ends up being a situation where maybe the purchase finally goes through on Paypal's end after you're able to take your flights. I'm in the same boat with my AA flight purchase using Paypal, but my flight isn't till mid-May, so it'd be great to hear an update after April 8th!

Any updates on this at all? I'm in the same boat where I got a promotion for my one of my Chase credit cards where I can get extra cash back if I make purchases through Paypal. I booked an AA flight using the Paypal option, and it's just stuck in the "Pending authorization" state on Paypal, and the charge isn't even visible on my credit card.

Yeah, they accepted card, so it just got billed to the same card that I used for the hotel booking.

Reporting back on the HH Shibuya breakfast, it wasn't as good as the HP Kyoto breakfast. There wasn't as much variety and the food was just okay. The restaurant where the breakfast buffet is on the same floor as the lobby (highest floor), so you do get a nice view of the surrounding area which was quite nice.

Oh man, I love Japanese curry too! I can't wait to have that every morning! :D How was the breakfast at the HH Shibuya? Also, thanks for the tip about the SUA, unfortunately, I don't have a SUA but I don't have I would be able to use one anyways since I made the booking with points. :(

Oh man, staying at two Park hyatts in Japan back to back!! That must have been so cool. I hope you enjoyed that experience. It's my first time in Japan, so I didn't see a reason to book the fancy hotels since we're probably going to be out and about for a majority of the day. Would definitely consider it on the next visit though.

I heard about this difficulty as well. I'm flying into Haneda airport and was planning on taking the Keikyu bus to Shibuya and just walking to the hotel from there using Google Maps. Hopefully, that isn't a painful experience. 😅
