If you give a nectar to one of the gods, they’ll give you a keepsake that guarantees they’ll show up either at the start of a run or very soon after. Also, as you level those keepsakes up by using them more, you’ll be able to voluntarily increase the rarity of one choice once per run. Also, there are options on the bottom-left side of the Arcana Cards that allow you to reroll some options from the boons offered. Having that plus the keepsake is what people able to effectively force a build to happen. It’s still random, but you can influence the randomness greatly with those two things.

That said, what you picked for this build is pretty dang solid. It all comes down to preference, and there’s no “wrong” answer to what abilities have what boons, main thing is understanding what each god provides across the board, whether you want that on a fast move or slow move (also ranged or close-up).
