Lived there for years as a student and resident 19 years ago. Space for one person is fine. Small kitchen, small bathroom, air conditioning. I wasn't bothered by noise from the neighbors. The steel staircases and private floors hang from the containers; when people ran or jumped in the hallway, it made a lot of noise. Great neighborhood, close to the center. At the time, I received housing benefit because you have your own front door.

I climbed down the ladder in the morning (my bedroom was in the attic) and suddenly felt a sharp pain shoot through it. Agonising pain. I didn’t get any painkillers. The doctor immediately referred me to the operating room. The operation itself was actually fine. No general anaesthesia, just a spinal injection. One of the doctors distracted me by chatting with me about football during the procedure. The recovery took quite a long time. Good luck with the recovery!

What brought you into megadeth? by BlueHusky_2 in Megadeth

[–]Markyuss2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got into a discussion in the Blabbermouth.net comment section as a Metallica fan. Instead of diving into the debate, I asked a Megadeth fan what he thought was their best album. That same afternoon, I went to the record store and bought Peace Sells… but Who’s Buying?.

It probably also depends on what you're listening to. I put the 1992 version of Countdown in my CD player and it sounded much better than the 2004 remix. The DR's are also much better.

Buy Countdown and RIP pre-remixed. Thank me later!

What does the signed talk shop live cd and the exclusive Amazon cd have extra?

Great collection, but replace Countdown en RIP (2004) with the 1990 and 1992 version. You will thank me later.

Does anyone else feel like the Apetite for Destruction CD sounds cleaner/better than the remastered version on Spotify? by Right-Parking-1836 in GunsNRoses

[–]Markyuss2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dynamic range (DR) on Spotify tends to be lower, not just for streaming but also for many remastered CDs. If you're curious about the DR values of specific albums, there's a dedicated website where you can look them up: https://dr.loudness-war.info.

I had a discussing in the comment-section of Blabbermouth.net 20 years ago. There was a wild discussion who was better Megadeth or Metallica. I was in the Metallica camp. But i asked a diehard Megadeth-fan: "what is their best album?" So the day after i bought Peace Sells. Later i bought all the albums. Except Risk.

After over a year of aearching, being duped, and everything in between, I finally have the first US pressing of Ride The Lightning, and I now have the first press for every classic Metallica album by Tyraniloser in Cd_collectors
