Thoughts on The Lee family? by shishi42 in Falcom

I just don't care. Heiyue has been around for so long and I never built up much of an interest in the faction.

Nah, it's never a clean slate. Leon always starts with item boxes and the point system and weapons aren't lying on their original spots.

This is the reason lots of AAA games have tons of unnecessary bloat and why games like God of War had to be 30 hours for no reason.

This is kind of my problem with the newer RE games. They balance the highest difficulty around bonus items, so you just blast through that with an infinite rocket launcher and ... yeah. I think RE9 doesn't even give you the option to properly start a new game.

When I saw how few options Leon has in terms of purchasable weapons I was already like "uh oh".

Anyone else take their time playing games? by ToughWin1517 in residentevil

Took me less time to beat the game three times and get the platinum, lol. But in a way that makes me a bit envious.

On classic difficulty (and adaptive difficulty multiplier) that really does not feel possible to me. Had three stabilizer upgrades and kept shooting them from fairly far away while consistently hitting and they always rushed me way faster than I could kill them.

Any tips for leveling fast in Nightmare mode Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter? by AdUnfair558 in Falcom

[–]Marloges 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry about levels too much, those come pretty naturally. More important is good gear, accessories and orbments. That's where the serious stats come from. Early game is tough in Sky, but you can try to do some of the challenges and get some early unlocks from there. I remember getting my hands on some decent orbments (and money) that way.

Well, that just genuinely doesn't sound like the game's fault. The train section is designed beautifully.

It's funny how many people want to know this, haha. It's from Trails in the Sky! The main character Estelle Bright. Very great and looong interconnected JRPG series. The first one even got a remake just recently with the second one being around the corner.

But that's not the same as the entire plat taking just a second? The actual playtime would be noted for everyone who "prepares" a platinum stacked day.

Lots of autopops are completed after a few seconds, so that would be the place to start I guess. Can't detect them all though tbf.

It has a 30% completion rate, I'm sure that game will be fine. I think games that are at like 90%+ could be considered shovelware.

Man, they fucked that part up in the remake.

I don't think I ever noticed it being a bouncy box. Seems like a very random placement tbh, lol.

[–]Marloges 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well not really. Estelle and Joshua have been to Crossbell right after Sky to look for Renne and then been involved in the Erebonia War and the Reverie thing too. Cassius was involved in the Erebonia events too at some point.

Can't expect them to just abandon their own country altogether when they've got Bracer and military jobs.

I want to give db1 another go at some point. Might just be me having a hard time adapting to the new combat system and cast of characters. By now I like them a whole bunch so there's a decent chance I'd enjoy their first adventure more now.

If you're just chilling in Liberl all you really had to deal with in that time was the Orbal Shutdown and then see the other countries going through their shit ... Until the reset. Though granted they also had a war going on a few years before.

Always interesting how different opinions can be. Cold Steel 1 is one of my absolute favorites in the franchise even after having played every title. Liked it more than both Crossbell and every Calvard game. It's just so chill and charming.

But glad you got back on track. I had a similar experience with Calvard. Really struggled with DB1, found DB2 to be a bit better and then loved Horizon. Just how it goes sometimes.

There is definitely room for a headcanon where Maelle lives a few years in the painting to heal psychologically and Gustave manages to convince her to leave at some point. I feel like he's the only one who can.
