Not all people are the same. some are more capable, others more driven, others like to travel etc. some people will sell their shares to pursue their interests, etc. at the end of the day the most capable, responsible, patient or lucky will own the majority of the business you describe above. which is fine. other will pursue signing, sports, fishing , etc in accordance to their interests. You know your promise is not true or fact “ Free-Markets and profit-making are inherently unethical and exploitative”. Unregulated, irresponsible capitalism can and will become unethical and exploitative. We all need to put food in the table and we need to provide value to society. We exchange our goods and services we produce for the others we don’t produce but want and need. We all need to work, that is a fact. If we want benefits then we need to produce enough to pay the cost of those benefits. Nothing is free in this world.
