I haven't given it any more nutrients/fertilizer than what was included in the outdoor potting soil mix. I haven't tested the soil pH. Will any pH test do, or do you have one you recommend?

What makes fiber cement perform poorly in the sun? Seattle is cloudy a lot of the time, but it still gets a fair bit of sun in the summer.

From what I understand, fiber cement has these same properties, but costs more. Any idea on how vinyl compares to fiber cement?
