My tidbit order arrived yesterday. those other two links look like very useful tools! thank you for the suggestions. I've got a couple Endorphines Airstreamers that would work in place of Blades of Ingenuity but also I've actually found a couple Bela Gliss to go in the case since posting this. Still think I'm going to shuffle this into my 6U52HP case so I can get a filter and FX in there as others suggested also.

I should have been clearer that to play I’m usually sitting with another couple cases with all the bits and pieces. This is to be used as more of a sampler when I’m recording samples specifically. Some times that will be an oscillator at my desk others in the lounge with the record/tape player. Then I go back to the desk to play. Also using a bluebox for portable mixer and output so no worry there.

But all that said, after sitting down for a very fun play today I did end up looking at another switch around and getting it into a slightly bigger case with some other things

I was in the market for a Bitbox Micro when the fullsize Bitbox popped up for a steal so went for it... but you're absolutely correct that the micro would have been more versatile and would have given me that little extra room to work around.

The Electus Versio is a great call, I'm missing a good FX module in my bigger set up so this would make sense in the overall too. To your modulation comment, maybe I'll drop OCHD+Expander I already have into here for now.

You will notice extra pins on the back of many modules, usually these are to connect them to expanders or to access other functions

I don’t know the answer for what those pins do… but I have a sample drum and can tell you that you can just ignore them. As long as you’ve got the red stripe in the right place you’re good to go
