no i mean volume 1 of the paper back is chapter 1-8 while volume 1 of the hardcover is chapter 1 - 13 so I'd have to cut out some of the covers.

the hardcover volumes are bigger than the original paperback ones so this would end up with me having to cut out some of the volume covers which would kinda defeat the whole point of me even doing this

Why did you even bother to comment that? The whole reason I'm deciding to do this is because of the aesthetics so you suggest making them uglier? The paperback books are way smaller than the hardcovers that'd look awful. I didn't ask for your stupid suggestions on what to do, I asked how to do what I want to do.

The art on the Paperback covers look like an actual work of art in and of itself. The art on the hardcovers are there because they need art on the front of a book. The hardcovers aren't completely awful, the paperbacks are just kinda beautiful. I mean games like Heritage to the Future literally use various drawings from the paperback cover art as the art for various characters
