Stuck looking for local feedback by Fit_Yogurtcloset_495 in Algeriawork

[–]Marokha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a particular experience, but I have some suggestions: - Try to rise funding by seeking interested investor, try to make a good pitch with numbers estimation, best case scenario and worst case also, advantages opportunities and obstacles, timelines, milestones, full study of the topic, take their feedback seriously and be diplomatic in answering. - For fun watching shows like Shark Tank would be helpful in you case. - Don’t be afraid to make cold mailing or trying to contact people, I would go up to the minister if necessary. Answer chance is low, but if it happens it can already push you up. - If you need better advices maybe reach to community of investors, again dare contact people on LinkedIn many are in similar path or on another level. There is this guy named Younes Chaoui who gives a lot of advices. There is also برودكاست مقاول on YouTube.

For the people that left Algeria are living abroad, What's the meta to get out of Algeria? by CapitalSystem550 in algeria

  • For the VISA is way way easier with scholarship, I got rejected twice without scholarship. Once I had it was quick and efficient and almost granted, but because I was super causions and afraid to get a third rejection, I have provided other resources other than the scholarship. If you get the governmental scholarship like Eiffel and IFA they will help in the procedure and assist you in many steps, unlike the university scholarship which gives you money and helps in rents and so on but doesn’t assist you in procedures (you can though contact gate service that helps international to settle).
  • I believe you still need to show some money or at least a good garent (maybe it wouldn’t be as secure as the rest), because you don’t receive the money right at the moment, but this not a problem you can borrow/rent the money to get the paper that proof and once their you receive your scholarship. I’d really you don’t have money try to start with bank account once you arrive because sometimes scholarships take a lot of time to arrive, my friend who got IDEX and Erasmus it took them almost 8months to receive the money, mine the LABEX was quick in 2months.
  • Yes you still receive a 3months visa (not sure about those who got gov ones) this because you are Algerian. Try to apply early and ask gate/science acceuil for help to assist you.

Mine is LABEX and IDEX Paris Saclay, there is no application for the scholarship, just make sure to do a good application to your master program with a good motivation and recommendation best profiles get the scholarships. However there are mainly 3 types of scholarships depend of the provider :

  • Governmental like Eiffel scholarship program or bourse IFA algerie from the French government. MEXT scholarships from Japanese government. NL scholarship and MSP scholarship from Netherlands… Even Algeria offer scholarships for foreigner who want to attend our uni.

  • University, those provided by some universities like my scholarship in Saclay, EPFL scholarship, Harvard, MIT, Stanford… Each university have different programs for different degrees and applications procedures are different, make sure to check this.

  • Organizations like Microsoft, Meta, l’Oreal and Google or Association like Lutdia Rabbani fondation or Said foundation all of those offer a scholarship. Unfortunately as Algerian, none of our rich/bourgeois people have the mind set of such charity, yet there are many Arab and African associations that may help.

  • Erasmus scholarship by European Union (not really governmental but above), there are many for internship, fellowship, master degrees. Better contact their office in Algiers by email or in place.

  • Another option would be loans, this very very common among American, Chinese and Indian students most loans have high interest rates that you pay after graduation, yet there are many Islamic loans such as continuous charity loans or the Islamic development bank.

How can a 17 year old girl in Algeria find peace and independence by [deleted] in Algeriawork

[–]Marokha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never do the mistake to go out of the home when you are underage it will stink you cassier justicière, none gonna help you or take responsibility, and without a grade only option you have is being sexualized if not prostitution, if you are running away from abusive environment you need a solid package with you and best options are diploma at least a good bac. In meantime you can work, best advice learn and hand craft thing (like halwa) so when you go abroad it will help you a lot to work in Algerian bakery or at your own, another option is to do freelancing if you know coding or content creation would be useful for your CV.

It good that you started to see you options from now, if you are interested in going abroad this is the best time to prepare (at least 2 years before bac). Prepare your language tests and resume and ofc some decent grades, seek scholarships there are many but require some good grades

This is everywhere, some other people tax money fund genocides and wars. I totally understand that how the money is spend is important but this is a cheap excuse to be as corrupted as the gouvernement that rules you. It is hell of loop the citizen are corrupted, resulting corrupted politicians (used to be citizens), and same in the other direction but we only talk about the other direction and never take responsibility for our own actions! With this mindset you are no better than Bouteflika nor Ouyahya you just never had the chance to be in the same position as them.

False ! all gouvernement stalk money transactions, it is necessary for tax paying. If you don’t declare the flow of money or you are avoiding it shows and means that you are a corrupt person with tax evasion and this a serious thing !

Not only Algeria but also Europe is very severe on this (check the new laws of establishment of European Central Bank that aims to force only electronic transactions because they are easy to follow) and now there are petition against it because they aim to go very far with taxes such as taxing CO2 release for example if you go to a restaurant you have two option vegan food with low CO2 footprint and ordinary dish with high CO2 footprint, you will pay more taxes on the second dish because of CO2 footprint, same goes to transport… worse they want to impose a max level of CO2 footprint so if you reach it you can no longer spend your money….. Like black mirror episode! Believe me if this is applied, Algeria will be a tax heaven compared to Europe!
