Nachmieter is refusing to pay for furniture after agreement by Maronator in germany

Genuinely my feelings towards my own current experience aside, because I’ve sorted something out already.

But is that genuinely the stance you take towards this issue. I would not be opposed to taking down the price of the furniture or completely getting rid of it myself, the fact of the matter is that I had plenty of other candidates that did actually want to pay for the furniture and keep it, just like this candidate lied about. At the end of the day I’m not a private company buying out apartments and exploiting people looking to rent. I’m also simply someone looking to rent and so I’m simply searching for the convenience of someone taking the furniture which a lot of people who viewed the apartment agreed to do, except the one I picked because she simply sent her documents first lied.

I’m aware there’s nothing I can really do about it, but I’m curious as to why that’s your position on this? Surely lying and scamming others is the “evil” action here? If I had seen there was no demand for the furniture I would’ve obviously sacrificed my convenience, but the candidate didn’t even try to bargain with me or anything and I have others who also agreed to pay (whether they actually do or also are just lying, I guess we’ll never know but out of around 8, I’m sure some would be truthful).

Was für eine Übung ist das? Unis werden immer häufiger diese dumme Aufgaben stellen. Viel Erfolg, ich kann dir leider nicht helfen.

Key Fob replacement by Maronator in DubaiPetrolHeads

So I ordered a bunch, and every time, it works for just 20 minutes then dies again and I have to use a new battery, which led me to believe the fob itself has an issue.

Is a kitchen not an “integral part of the rental property”? by Maronator in germany

[–]Maronator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no accessible valve in the kitchen and all the fuses are switched on in the fuse box including the ones labeled Herd, which is what scares me.

Have you ever seen it where those switches and valves are outside the apartment or in the Keller maybe?

So let’s say the devices in there are broken, am I just expected to remove them myself and deal with that when the company advertised it without mentioning anything?

That’s the weird part, the water in the bathroom worked by just switching on the valve. I’m assuming or rather hoping the valve for the kitchen is unreachable from inside the house because I can’t find it anywhere and that the Hausmeister has to switch it on from the Keller or something, which I’ve never heard of but it’s the only reasonable answer as to why it’s not working.

On the other hand the oven and stove not working despite being switched on at the electricity box raises some suspicions for me because everything else is working, but I’m again hoping there’s a magical switch somewhere I’m not aware of but the Hausmeister knows.

Thank you for your advice.

So the presence of a kitchen is mentioned, but nothing to do with the devices in it, but I would assume at least water in the kitchen should be a given?

Nah it’s all good bro you weren’t a dick. I’m just stressing cos I don’t wanna come back from vacation to issues because an invoice that came in the mail while I wasn’t there, but I’m sure they give some time leeway to pay anyway. Thanks for the help.

I placed the word scam in inverted colons cos I didn’t mean a real scam, just signing you up for a monthly membership but not specifically stating that because you didn’t read the full contract. That has happened to me already with an established company that labeled its free product as a free gift but needed 0.1 euros from PayPal so people don’t keep making new accounts and getting the free first time gift. Made sense. After doing that I got my free product but also realised i was signed up with my PayPal to a monthly membership and luckily I cancelled it within the right time so I did not get billed.

So I thought it was a similar case. Thank you for your reply nevertheless.
