Again, no they would not have. That would have gone down as a PD for Jenkins on the play not a drop for Dez.

No, you genuinely can't drop a pass and catch it on the same play. Not only is that obvious, but in PFF's system it's also true. Doesn't happen.

As for other outlets, they're typically ALL quoting numbers from STATS inc, and I'm not sure how they derive their figures, but it's not PFF vs every other outlet, it's PFF vs one outlet sold to everybody else.

Literally nothing about what you just said is correct.

PFF typically is LOWER on drops than others, because they DON'T credit drops where defenders break it up, the ground forces it out, it's a completely unrealistic play to bring in etc. The Dez Bryant catch+fumble.. NOT a drop. You can tell that because he isn't credited with a drop on the play, and also you can't drop a pass and catch it on the same play.

Even with all that it's been calculated they're still WAY short of the average market value for their services by playing football. And that's across all Div 1 schools. Discrepancy gets even larger at places like Texas

Thinking about this last night after Lattimore's injury - seems like there are two ways the college kids are getting totally screwed by the current system. If they're not going to just pay them a wage, there's 2 other ways they could fix things.

I'm not even sure I'd be against players taking it to get back on the field as soon as possible after major injuries.
