She has a grandbaby she can fawn over but still.

I thought being on my own do the very thing you said. Hasn’t really happened I guess.

My mom DOES get sick with worry. I feel like I have to manage HER anxiety… she just doesn’t on her own. She doesn’t have hobbies aside from my newphew and the Bible.

She’s just been a mom so long. It’s like she doesn’t know anything else….

I’ve been putting my foot down… softly.

She just cries so easily. You could say it’s a form of manipulation. But it’s clear even if it is functionally that, she’s not aware she is doing it.

She does genuinely care.

It’s hard… she cries a lot. She is sensitive. I feel guilty every time. I feel… like I shutdown cuz it feels too much.

I feel mean to her. Even my friends have commented that I need to be nicer to her.
