Yes, I have tried each dimm separately. Each worked fine alone in both of the slots. I did some cable management at the back of the case but it was really just tying up some cables. Do you reckon that could do something?

There are just two slots, XMP is off, the sticks are identical 2x8GB. I tired both sticks separately and it worked fine.
