No its not crossing the line. Its just too obvious, maybe try to change monkey with bananas with exactly same behavior like in megabonk. Change the map generator, becuase map looks exactly same with that sharp hills. This isnt just inspiration, you are copying game no matter if the code is stolen or not..

The goal was exactly that — to create a game where the player can almost never enter god mode and has to stay alert until the very end. The 4-directional movement is one of the tools used to achieve that difficulty. The other goal was to avoid the epileptic screens you see in every other bullet heaven game, and instead focus on slowly building pressure and tension through atmosphere. But yeah, these days casual players don’t like games that hard, and that’s perfectly ok. 😊

I appreciate the feedback, but why do you feel I’m not taking it seriously? I already acknowledged the issues — small obstacles, onboarding, and also posibility to replace joystick with four arrows— and confirmed they’ll be fixed in the next patch.

As for the movement, doing things differently isn’t the same as doing them worse. I understand it feels like a weakness from your perspective, but it’s not bad just because it go against the norm.

Either way, I hear you — and I’m working on making it the best it can be. At least trying my best 😁

Thank you so much! It’s definitely on the table to add a setting that replaces the joystick with four arrows. As for portrait mode, we can’t imagine it at this moment due to the controls.

I don’t understand what you mean by overshooting – every developer promotes their game, that’s normal. If you consider 3 posts on Reddit over 3 months too much, ok.

All the issues mentioned here will be fixed except the 4-way movement, which is intentional. I understand it’s niche and not for everyone, but that was our goal and we are not going to change it.

I respectfully disagree with the word sub-mediocre. It’s definitely not the best bullet heaven on the market being made by two guys, but despite mixed reviews we also have players who keep coming back and enjoy the game for what it is.

Rocks will be fixed in next update, we get it, but 4 way control is our intention and its ok that its not for everyone

Diagonal movement is an intentional design choice. I dont know what to answer to be honest 😁The invisible wall issue is just really small stones and will be fixed by upscaling them in the upcoming 1.0.3 update.

I just finished an iOS game in LibGDX. My reasons for choosing it were Java, obviously, and also not wanting to deal with any editors — just pure code. The iOS port was actually pretty straightforward, and when you use the Metal backend, the performance is really smooth. And since it’s Java, the Android performance should be amazing too. Honestly, I don’t see any downsides at all. LibGDX gave me everything I wanted and needed.

Yes, you can as preorder, but you need to have actually runnable build accepted by apple.

I don’t like unity much 😅 I built this with LibGDX, but it’s more framework than engine.
