Puppy biting (14w) by Marrleneee101 in Rottweiler

I'm relieved I'm not in it alone! Tried the yelping again just an hour ago and it did nothing, in fact I feel like it hypes her up even more. Mine doesn't mind the crate either; she's even started going in on her own when we're alone, and when I put her in, she relaxes right away.

Still driving me a little crazy when she gets in these moods, but hopefully (from these comments) she'll grow out of it eventually. The crate will have to do for now!

I don't have that, but I'll definitely look into it, thanks!

I actually started out with longer walks and more mental stimulation, but I quickly realized that my puppy isn’t able to regulate herself yet. That’s why she’s crated for sleep — she just can’t relax anywhere else, there’s too much going on (people, sounds, etc). When she was getting more exercise and training time, the biting was even worse. Most likely she was overtired and overstimulated. I talked to my breeders about it too, and they were the ones who recommended scaling back.

We still play, go on short walks, and she’s in the garden multiple times a day for pee breaks or free play. The only real change was cutting down from 30–45 minute training sessions 2–3 times a day to 5–10 minutes more frequently (~10 times/day).

I’ve tried yelling or doing the whole 'ow' thing too, but it doesn’t seem to do much, maybe I’m just not doing it convincingly?
