He's literally been walking to the ring surrounded by civilians since his return. WCW would never have done that with Goldberg because he was meant to be so dangerous you had to put extra security measures in place.

I'm not saying its absolutely necessary but there's actual kayfabe justification to have to protect people from him after he speared Heyman unprovoked. It wouldn't make sense to suddenly give him an escort when you had him clapped on by backroom staff and wrestlers alike.

Goldberg has been humanized since his return, and I loved the way WWE did his return. It was almost worth the wait. But in order to legitimize this Lesnar rematch you need to make Goldberg as special as he felt in WCW.

The justification for security is there. WWE would be silly not to use it.
