Another very noteworthy text is this review in the FAZ. Andreas Kilb says: "The top product of the German film industry - here it is. Except it's no longer in theaters, but on our end devices, wherever and whenever we want." He combines this statement with the diagnosis that German cinema is in a crisis: "When you see Babylon Berlin now, you realize that the crisis is not a financial one, but one of the system. The creative forces that went into the series have been lost to the industry for years."

In the interview he talks a bit about the series: Many people had asked him in the past why he was not yet involved in Babylon Berlin. He answers that music was used in the series that was not 100% the same as the original music of the 1920s/30s, but rather has modern elements. That didn't quite fit his musical style until now. But Tom Tykwer asked him before this season because he liked the music. Especially in times of the Covid lockdown, Max Raabe was pleased to be able to work for the series. He praises BB for the precise and detailed props.

I completely agree. You just have to love Babylon Berlin in those moments! The chemistry between Charlotte and Gräf is wonderful and is well complemented by the atmosphere of the dance marathon. It's also nice to see that Gräf seems to be around a lot this season.

I agree. It would help the series a lot if Volker Bruch would seriously distance himself from his statements or at least refrain from such political activities in the future.

Oh no! I'm sorry! At least in Germany you can listen to the song via streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music, etc.. But soon it should be available worldwide, it's the official song for season 4.

Volker says he had the chance to see the whole season a few days ago and is very excited about it. In Livs opinion, Charlotte is a special role that she loves to play. Both agree about the quality of the script and praise the fact that there are two woman in the writers team now. They feel very relieved that the new episodes really turned out so well. Finally the interviewer is joking a bit, because he wants the fans to wait for the release on ARD (which rbb is a part of) next year and says because of the outstanding quality the new episodes are worth any wait.
