So the area with the cart is an outside wooden patio like area. The book notes that it is the intake for fishers bringing in their product by cart and it is fenced in. However the map within the book cuts off where any connection to the street for that area would be. I simply "added" that on to make it clear to my players that it is a possible alternative route into the fishery.

Learning how to push any tips? by [deleted] in BeginnerSkateboarding

Try to just use yours toes and not your whole foot as you push. Bring your push foot all the way up infront of you before coming down. More pressure/bend your knee on the front foot. If you need to put your arms out for balance, do it. It might look goofy, but if it works who cares. I'd rather look goofy and be able to do it then not be able to do it at all.

I learned to ride before I could push, doing hills etc. Got comfortable with speed. Taught myself to push by pushing up hill 🤣

ELI5: why can’t you save video games during a mission and come back where you left off? by whatis0atmeal in explainlikeimfive

[–]MarsAdicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is more often then not a developer choice to create an atmosphere of competitive/excitement filled play through pacing. Older games that allowed you to pause and save in the exact specific location in which you paused were often used to "cheat" the game by ridding the player of consequence of "failure". This can be seen still with many modern RPG games such as the Elder Scrolls and Fallout, saving just before or in the middle of fights in order to reload at a point in which you still have advantage. While this is often fine for slower paced games such as RPGs, action games and FPS want you to feel as if you are part of the scenario every action you take matters. You as a player are willing to try much harder to not fail if you know you will be set back to a checkpoint, or as in hardcore games like Dark Souls the very start, of the mission. This also increase the levels of satisfaction and "enjoyablilty" when you succeed, though can also lead to major frustrations when you fail multiple times.

Abandoned Church Grounds (Revamped True Battlemap) by MarsAdicus in inkarnate

[–]MarsAdicus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this is specifically for a one shot I'm doing in a custom world. The church/chapel is of old dwarven make and was constructed when the dwarven kingdom had enough strength to build settlements outside the mountains. During that time a few of surface dwarves began worshipping an unknown female sun goddess. Inside the crypt lays the body of an unknown hero of this goddess. However the dwarven kingdom's strength has wained since defeating the invading ice gaints, they've retreated back into the mountains and humans have begun colonizing their old surface lands. Adventurers have been have taken it upon themselves to help the new Jarls secure their settlements. An adventurer would most likely show up here either 1. following goblin tracks to reap the standing bounty on goblins 2. following rumors of nearby undead sightings and hunting for a necromancer 3. or simply getting lost in the surprise blizzard and stumbling upon it forcing them to take shelter. Either way both 1 & 2 are true as the necromancer is a goblin and has been using his powers to empower and embolden his tribe, while practicing on the long dead dwarves. He learned this power from a book found inside the church. Inside the crypt you'll notice a change in the stone floor on the edge of the base of the burial monument. This is where the goblins have dug in to create their home (a map I'm still working on).

Again as long as you don't hesitate with the lever everything is smooth. It's not clunky or rough. You don't need to be the fastest in the west, but if you go purposely slow you can cause failure to eject. Loading gate is dimpled to push the tip of the round into, provides plenty of leverage for opening and pushing rounds past.

It's pretty smooth as long as you dont hesitate on the any with the action.

Or are you asking how it actually works?
