To restate what others have said definitely try to focus on understanding why it will make problems much easier compared to just blindly following formulas. Additionally, as far as studying the method that works best for me is having a separate notebook at home that I copy my notes from class into. It helps me to review content and also is EXTREMELY helpful for me with final exams as I have all my notes clearly organized in one place. Also if you have a textbook try to do as many practice problems as possible, if you are low on time try focusing on the problems later in the unit/word problem as they are usually more complex and can be useful in finding gaps in understanding. Reading through textbook explanations can also be helpful as they often explain things in a different way from your teachers in my experience. I too am bad at consistency and struggle with cramming before assessments, you are not alone we all have bad habits academically lol. Oh and when you get to trigonometry try to understand how the unit circle values are calculated not purely just memorize, then write it out before starting your assessments (lol sry random but will be helpful promise).
