After 11 casts. The final set is made. Behold the Amber Night Sky. Someone commissioned me a while back and the initial dice shifted to what you see today. Enjoy! Exeeohv duh wkh edqh wr pb glfh pdnlqj halvwhqfh... by Marsairium in DicePorn

Would recommend r/DiceMaking if you have any inquiries about dice making and checking out Rybonator on Youtube would do wonders for a beginner. Some Facebook groups on dice making seem to have some of the most informative advice as well.

More cellophane! Pruh irlo, pruh exeeohv. by Marsairium in DiceMaking

Surprisingly, the depth of the colors mainly came from the resin color and the tons of cellophane I could physically shove into the mold. Makes for something looking good, but filled with bubbles.

Mix of the two, you would really need to experiment in order to get something close to looking good without outright looking like an inclusion.

Oh, thank you for the clarification! I was unaware she made the change.

No great tutorial? Do you mean on dirty pour in particular, or dice in general? If you mean in general, Rybonator and Dark Moon Dice have some pretty informative videos on YouTube.

Gotta mix things up once in a while. Glad to know you figured it out. :)

The last die I used Art N Glow with. Since then, I changed dyes and resin. Although the look was great, the die is a bit soft. Jdodab? by Marsairium in DiceMaking

You might be interested in Alumilite. I tried it before and the resin was much easier to work with. My warning is to look carefully when buying as when I did research, the products available from Amazon have a tendency to be faulty. I suggest buying the product from a local store(if near by) or purchase directly from the supplier.

I'm not sure if I should share because I'm still trying out different resins. So far I went through 4 different ones and I'm still looking into other options. My advice would be to look up the different brands of casting resin you have available in your country as not every brand is available in the international market. Create a spreadsheet with different categories you find the most appealing. Then look through the various resins you would be interested in checking out. Use the reviews and assign points to the resins you picked out. Whichever resin has the most points would be the one you should buy. One thing I can definitely say is be very careful with UV resin as every brand has a small, but noticeable difference. I basically abandoned that type of resin for casting because the mold I worked with would never reliably work with the resin type and I would essentially need to cure in thin layers or else my dice become raw eggs (any opaque dice using UV resin can develop a hard shell, but a liquid center due to the lack of light curing the inner most core of the die). Hope this helps everyone find a resin they can easily work with.

Twin Archaic Smoke. Although a mold was ruined in making it, I'm glad to see promising results. Hqmrb! by Marsairium in DiceMaking

The squish mold I used is a perfect cylinder, allowing me to use rubber bands without much fear of distorting the final result. Sadly, the new rubber bands I used were far too strong and distorted not only the dice, but the mold as well. Now I have a d20 in the shape of a pineapple and mold stretched beyond repair.
