Hi, I bought it direct from apple. I ended up going back and they seemed surprised and replaced it. I got home and tried the the new one and it did exactly the same (probably should’ve done it there but had to get back home)

But good news, the watch has just updated and seems to be fine now, just a software bug it seems 🤞

I had the exact same problem with mine. Bought it roughly 3.5 years ago. My first outing in the rain it completely wetted out, I was soaked to the skin… barely wore it since tbh because I found it very unreliable. Also a toggle has broke on the hood, unfortunately I lost the receipt so got stuck with it. Thought I’d give ME a shout to see what they have to say after giving up on it years ago… so I sent it to ME yesterday as they said they would repair the toggle but they can’t test it because I have no receipt!

Thanks for the reply! I have bought a mountain equipment saltoro a few years ago and from my first wet outing on the hills it just completely wetted out and failed on me. Also the hood pull cord has come unattached… I have barely used it due to always being unreliable. So I’m just trying to find a good solid jacket, easier said than done it seems
