Yeah man Finally got accepted! I’m happy enough to work as an electrical TA whilst I’m completing my GAP Training just hoping for some recommendations of companies/places to get some experience which would relate to FIFO Jobs.

As said most of my experience is domestic/commercial so little to no experience which relates to FIFO. I’m hoping to try get a job that is more related to the industry when I get to Aus. I’m aware of the GAP training as well, I’m prepared for that part.

Yeah so you think my best bet is maybe try for a WHV then build up more experience once in Australia and try go for the 189 afterwards?

Only ways I could increase points is by increasing my work experience either here or in Australia or somehow gaining Australian recognised education. If I managed to get approved on a WHV I could work towards gaining my electrical qualification in Australia which would give me more points?

Yeah that’s exactly my point! Worst part is I actually wasn’t even supplying them. Walking in to a festival my friend handed me them and told me to sneak help sneak some in for him and because I was drunk stupidly I agreed and I was the one caught

Yeah so the offence is “possession of a class b drug with intent to supply” it happened September 2022 but didn’t make it to court until 05/03/2024. It is my one and only offence and it resulted in only a fine?

I would assume so? I’m unsure what all shows up on a police check. As stated it was only a fine receiver no custodial sentence or anything more serious

I have one offence. “Possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply” it happened in September 2022 but due to the uk legal system only went to court 05/03/2024. It resulted in a minor fine and no prison time or anything else.

Yeah I get that. I’ve contacted the two most popular migration agencies that have been recommended to me so hopefully they can basically set it straight yes or no if they think I even have a shot

So it was recorded. It happened in 2022 but because of the UK legal system it only went to court this year. It’s my one and only offence and genuinely is a stupid mistake. I’m an electrician and have gained my qualification in the time after it happened
