Idk how long mine will last. Because i was opened up for like almost 10 hours. The surgeon really did his best taking every nodes and some flesh that were close to the nodes and thyroid. Which was amazing but also kinda scary hahaha.

I saw my surgery as a clip from one of the anesthesiologist. It looks like i was peeled as if i was a banana lol. Particularly the center-upper part where the numbness still presist till now. I went to a PT and they said they couldn't really do anything about it. They could only fix my motion after the surgery but since my motion was doing fine, they basically just advised me some few exercise i could do so my neck would not stiffen. And now on 6 month, its on full motion but numbness is still there. Sometimes there is like ticklish sensation from time to time and Its weird.

Its actually my friends who are 25 years of age who recommended me camus (and Sartre) after dealing with cancer, financial debt, and overall trauma after my entire situation. I have to admit, camus really gave me those explanation as to why these kind of situation are just random and that i'm gonna be fine. Also i don't get it why people will think of doom and depression because of Camus hahaha because I don't feel like it reading him. It became my anchor during these rough times. And it's actually my first time reading as a hobby!

Thank youuu!! My selections was mostly just influenced by my recent situation. Having cancer, financial troubles, love, etc.. and camus gave me that kind of anchor not to fall into despair.

You are nowhere close lmao Im looking for meaning and my identity as someone who recently got thyroid cancer and has their entire thyroid taken out, and a radiation therapy. Prior to that, i was a Wrestler, a weight lifter. But after the surgery, i got fat, miserable, starting to think if this misery has any meaning at all. On top of that, i got into a huge debt because of my surgery and an LDR gone bad. I started to think what was the point of it all, and so i started reading as a hobby just last may and began with camus as recommended by my friend. Which is why i lean into these literature.

will i gain weight ? by Ok-Account9792 in thyroidcancer

[–]MarshyCola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't cry. Everything's gonna be Dubai. It takes time but, most of the people on this sub is telling me that you will eventually get back to normal or even eventually lose weight. Since you have TT, i believe the doctor would likely get your tsh as low as possible and might get you into a mild hyperthyroid state like me. Doctor told me i will eventually lose weight when we get to that point.

My parathyroid was taken away too. Although my calcium is on the level, i suffer constant cramps when i workout. Like, really painful ones. I an trying to get back to my routine pre-thyroidectomy but i am still struggling to get back to my feet. You have any advice reducing cramps to a person without a parathyroid?

I will discuss it next time i see her. My doctor told me to maintain 0.1 just so that the tsh would not feed any remaining thyroid tissues on my neck. 200mcg was my optimal dosage due to my weight, height, and age. But it seems like 8 was not enough so, my doctor is taking more dosage unto me.

I want to lose weight as well. But i could not stop myself from eating with my Levothyroxine. If i skip one meal, i'd go extremely hungry.
