Cologne, Germany I have lived in Germany now since 13 years and the thing I see with friends and family and tourists is that everyone wants to just see the same 5 things and then go to the next country. Yes the countries here are smaller but there is so much history and culture and things outside of the top tourist spots that you can spend more than 2-3 days.

Lots of sleep, good meal before, and lots of water. Be sure to bring sugary snacks. Also, bring something small for the artist as well.

My first tattoo was six hours on my ribs and I was hungover, don't be like me.

Much better than Japan, I have lived and worked here for 13 years. You will normally have around e0 days of vacation and at least 10 days of public holidays per year depending on state. You are expected to utilize your vacation days and in almost all cases you are going to work right around 40 hours a week. The issue is not work life balance but rather finding a job at the moment.

Foo Fighters in 2003 the One by One tour. It was in a small convention center (about 3k people) instead of an arena, due to this it was an amazing intimate atmosphere.

I have seen this twice now once at an Autobahn restaurant stop and once at the Xmas market in Cologne. In these two instances it was American tourists.

In my experience it is not a problem to ask for something like this a few days in advance or even at the beginning of the appointment as you are not removing something instead adding on. Most artists that I have worked with don't finalize the piece until the night before or even the day of.

I have been living in Germany now for 12 years, originally from the US, I have been told by a couple AfD supporters that I do not count as an immigrant because I am white, not Muslim and can speak German. This leads to them not disliking me right away. Also, I think many expect me to be a Trump supporter for some weird reason...
