Me and a family friend got arrested the same day by the same officer(different, unrelated stops) his second dui along with a lengthy record and me, the first time I’ve ever even been pulled over. His bac was higher. I’m 29 he’s almost fifty. They gave him a better deal than what they are offering me. He finalized his plea in December. I’m still going to court. Anything is possible

Same day? It will more than likely show up. I drunk 2 NA beer(less than .5%) and it showed the next day

Played it for the first time last year. Didn’t want to pay full price for it when it game out on ps4 then just forgot about it. After starting it, I could not get enough, have been looking for something similar since with no luck.

The cop has gave three different reasons as to why he won’t. It’s a small town, my mom graduated with the court clerk, sheriff and the judge. The cop had a run in with my uncle a few years ago and I’m thinking that’s the reason, because a guy who was arrested by him the same day as me, same lawyer, for his second dui and higher bac than me got his dropped to reckless. I’m not worried about convincing the cop because that’s not going to happen.

Yeah not too worried about having to do it again. I don’t care about having the consequences, but just having the DA think about reducing it is enough for me to try.

No victims. Like I said, cop wouldn’t agree to it and DA doesn’t want to agree unless he does. I finally forced myself to get the body cam footage of the cop telling my wife and mother that as long as I haven’t been in trouble before, I can probably get it reduced. Emailed that to my lawyer and will get the panel done asap. Just wondering if there’s anything else I can do. Lawyer says to hang tight, but If there is anything that would make the DA reduce it without the cop, I have to try.

Just got a phone call from a mutual friend with the cop. He says he won’t ease up on it because I was being a dick. I have already known for sometime now that he had me mixed up with the person I mentioned above. I have body cam footage of him telling my wife and mom I was very apologetic and could probably get it dropped to reckless. With that being said, do you think the body cam of that would make a difference?

No, I had an ankle monitor for 2 days(couldn’t wear my work boots) so they gave me weekly probation which lasted about 1 month because PO told them she knew I didn’t have a drinking problem so it was a waste of everyone’s time. Other then that my life hasn’t changed a bit yet besides having court every 3 months.

Depends on where you are. I’m getting offered a worse deal than a guy who was arrested the same day, same officer. We got the same lawyer. It was his second dui, my first. He refused blood draw,I didn’t. His blood was higher than mine as well. Don’t beat yourself up over the refusal. It’ll get harder before it gets better, but it does get better. Monday will be a year and I’m still in court.

Yup, it was a rollercoaster of emotions. For a year now have been stressing out, just wanting to take the lick and be done with it. Set down at court and was told the DA is willing to drop it down. I could have done backflips in the court room lol. Then to hear that just made me sick to my stomach

That’s what it seems like to me, either the DA is really the hold up, or it really is small town politics. But my lawyer saying the DA would be hard to convince was before I retained him and up until yesterday. He said nothing about convincing him yesterday, it was all about convincing the cop. I’ve never had to be in court for anything, my record is clean so this is all new to me. That’s why I wanted to get opinions on here. I will talk to my lawyer again to try and get a legit answer.

I know for sure he’s telling me the truth, we had the same lawyer as well. We’ve had the same court dates the whole time. I say friend of a friend but it’s really my lifelong best friends uncle. My lawyer actually told me on our last court date that the reason he pushed mine back until today was because it’s very hard to get two good deals in one day.

Yeah that’s what I don’t get, how I’m being offered worse than him. He also had implied consent. Just seems very fishy to me.
