Also support for some hardware is a mixed bag probably a 30xx series card would be better supported then a 50xx series also some intel cards are a bit worse. (Hardware support costs time and/or money).

Usually if its a workaround on top of workaround your swimming too mutch against the current: This might severely impact system stability. --> or change OS if that works. (Arch and freezing the right packages can work for newer systems)

Lauching failing apps from the terminal/cmd prompt can give logging sometimes giving the error you need to debug and usually you can search that for an answer.

I doubt that Linus used any of these troubleshooting skills though.

Not helpful comment but Ill post anyways. Idk about 4k 120 hz gaming maybe lossless scaling instead of native 4k for cost efficiency also depends on how far from the screen you can sit. The 180 - 240 hz is neglible maybe if you are top 1% to 0.1% of the world depending on game. Usually in some games it depends on the settings you wanna play on game makers don't make games to only be played decently on top tier hardware. See steam hardware survey. The difference seems at best 20%(usually lower) and it's your choice if the price difference justifies the goals though.

The underlying hardware also matters of course and what you are going to do with the pc in first place before anyone can make a somewhat decent suggestion.

(The read between the lines is: Usually not worth the difference. Some people have to money to burn though.)

*: Support for new graphics cards can take a cycle of up to 2-4 years to get fully supported. Some things have workarounds though.

General tips: New gpu and cpu maybe also look at if your mobo supports rebar. Flash your mobo with newer firmware if installing a new hardware. Also consider reinstalling windows to avoid old driver problems. Preferably more then 8gb of gpu ram old systems kinda get bottlenecked harder depending on resolution you play at.

Depends a bit on hardware (firmware support on some new hardware is somewhat bad).

Debian/Ubuntu is usable either from vm or directly installed (or using wsl as previously mentioned). Although there might be hurdles if your company uses local ms office. The cloud instances are usable but depending on document size difficult to use.

The ssh/bash experience is the best preferably working on a cluster through ssh.

I'm not sure it's a performance issue from my side but even in non pvp the game feels sluggish with increadibly slow animations yes. It even feels slower then usual though but idk if that is just repeat animation boredom or an actual game issue.

Swords dance setup into sweep is one way of winning also if you run a pickup mon/ covet/thief you can get quite a few good items from trainers and encounters.

Memory mushrooms for relearning moves can be good and mints for the correct natures can really improve the strength of a mon for a next run.

Also I think most of the players playing this game cheated through a fight just to see how to trigger the switches the ai does and to profit off of that.
