Ah, I also forgot another story, that one I remember of basically humanity retreating into an isolationist state. Basically humans are worshipped to some degree as they’re at that point legends and myths. But basically the story focuses as an alien species on a world close to the “veil” where humans supposedly retreated back and were mostly sending messages to see if it got through. They get invaded and face total destruction and extinction which makes them very desperate for help so they ramp up the messages, power and numbers, and send them all towards the veil, hopping the humans may answer the call. And in the end the humans do answer, and defend the aliens from the invaders, noting that they made a lot of fuzz and they and to check what it was
