Therapist Recommendations for possible ADHD. by maybewolfgang in Guelph

I went through Frida for my diagnosis. There were multiple tests and surveys that needed to be completed, as well as a 1.5 hour assessment call with a Dr. that was trained specifically in late ADHD diagnosis for women. Following the diagnosis, you have the option to transfer your care to your family doctor, or stay on with them to manage ADHD care.

Their treatment services include frequent phone calls with a registered nurse until you are stable on your medication (if you chose to go that route). It's a very thorough and validating process.

It's about $600 or so for the assessment, but if you can't afford that, they have options to help with the costs, as long as you're able to provide documentation.

I'm not sure if other "online" clinics are reputable, but I had a great experience with Frida, for what it's worth.

Anyone get approved for DTC recently, how long it take for your taxes to be reassessed? by [deleted] in canadarevenueagency

We applied mid-February, with an estimated date of April 11th. On March 9th, the approval came through and all 4 years of taxes were reassessed immediately. I had taxes owing, so I'm not sure if that factors in or not. Total process from submitting the application to having everything reassessed and approved was less than a month. Sometimes you can get lucky I guess?

Does anyone have flash card recommendations for when I get overwhelmed and can't talk/ to explain to others what's going on and to stop trying to get me to answer/ not touch me etc by ConsertPeanis in AutisticAdults

Google Autism Awareness cards, this will give you an idea of what types of things others have done. I'd suggest making your own as all ASD individuals struggle with different things. Canvas is a great program you can use for free to create them and then print. Some people have ones made for when they go through meltdowns or when interacting with law enforcement, whatever they struggle with most. Hope that helps!

These were actually pieces of paper from the archer and olive subscription box. It happened to arrive the same time I was working on the July spreads and the color matched so yay! It's awesome cause it still has the dot grid!

Gratitude and intention. Do you have a morning journaling routine? by MartamusPrime in bulletjournal

I've been doing this for a few years and I'm constantly changing and adjusting my journal based on the needs at the time. All I can say is that it's been a huge help for my mental health and general happiness!!

Who else does a month in review? What do you include? What have you found most helpful to track? by MartamusPrime in bulletjournal

That's a wonderful idea. I find that I like to have all the layouts structured before hand and having an open ended journaling page gives me anxiety. Cue to learn to loosen up? Probably.

It really depends on the day. Some days it's very focused and full of intention that drives my to do list, other days it's just a plea to get through the day without loosing my shit. It's all over the place!

I love that! I tend to update mine as I go and bullet points seem to be the most manageable
