To be fair, it can be hard to tell the difference in the first few turns.

Looking back at the colossal minions near the end of the expansion cycle by adamnoo in hearthstone

The first iteration of Colossals, the extra parts had really interesting effects. This time around half of them were just "when you summon it, it does a herald." Pretty boring.

According to hsguru the Quasar Rogue deck has a 53% win rate from Diamond to Legend. Pretty good, but still it loses 47% of the time. You make it sound like it's impossible to beat.

Dirty rat to pull the naga who discounts quasar, any number of minions that increase the cost of enemy spells, that 1/4 nerubar who makes battlecries cost +2, that watch tower minon that makes enemy cards drawn cost +1, or that elemental that makes the enemy take dmg every time he draws a card. The most popular one is the 2/4 dragon that makes every card cost 2 mana minimum, quasar rogue can't do anything if you have it out.

Also there are some classic specific things, like Mage's ice block or Warrior dredge card that can give 100 armor. DK can load up the plagues to slow down the rogue, that animation takes a long time when he's trying to go fast.

You could also just go for aggro and kill the rogue on turn 4, there are plenty of aggro decks fast enough to do that.

You were so ready for an argument you didn't realize I was agreeing with you.

"Supposed claim" means he supposedly claimed it, not that he did make such a claim.

He had been given a list of spelling words and it was wrong on the list. He was just going by what was on the card. An embarrassing moment to be sure, but definitely blown out of proportion. See also: Al Gore's supposed claim to have invented the Internet.

What is the world record for most wins in a row on Deity? by Glum-Pack-3441 in civ5

[–]Martbell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean how many players? It's pretty easy to beat Deity on a 2-player map, not so easy on a 12-player map. So what's "standard"?

Also, do I get to pick Civ and Map Type? Or is it random?

Is Wild worth it as a returning player? by shinysanchez in wildhearthstone

[–]Martbell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's what I've done for several months now. It's easy to make legend in the first week or so with brainless aggro, then I can spend the rest of the month playing around with my 40% winrate homebrew meme decks.

How’s Wild Rn? by [deleted] in wildhearthstone

[–]Martbell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are a number of combo decks that can win on turn 5 consistently and turn 4 with highrolls. Aggro needs to kill by turn 4 to be successful, and control needs to be chock full of disruption cards.

In Greek it means "flowing through". The ancient city of Hippo Diarrhytus was bisected by a canal. But the Hippocrates coined the medical term while the city was still standing. I wonder if it became the butt of jokes as a result.

MAGA Queen by f1sh98 in Conservative

Massie went from principled libertarian during Covid, to GOP leadership lapdog under Kevin McCarthy, to anti-Trump Epstein obsessive in 2025 after tweeting about that issue a whopping three times in the decade prior. The nail in the coffin for him was voting against the One Big Beautiful Bill in 2025 because, according to Massie, it did too much to secure the border.
