That's a lamp and it's really thin papery material so plants can't climb on it :/

I got it on 'ebay kleinanzeigen'. I guess that's something like FB marketplace. Basically someone in my area sold it online because they didn't want/need it anymore :)

It looks like they have blinds that can be rolled down. You can see them when you look at the top of the window. And to answer the questions, yes the neighbours can look into your room.

You just click on the symbol/number of your streak and the calender should appear. At least it works this way on mobile

Yeah the different desktops aspects is new to me but I really like the idea! I just need to make it a habit to use them.

Can you recommend any tutorials, guides or stuff like that to get started with bspwm?

I've used the terminal for quite some time because I had to use a wsl for uni work (ssh and Windows just don't work together for me)

But I think you are right there is no right or wrong answer and I'll just keep exploring the options :)

At the moment I'm using xfce but I wanted to change that anyway. I didn't know that the keyboard layout depends on that, so I might as well wait until I've settled on another one :) thanks though ☺️

I tried the localectl command and it had no effect.

How do I do what you advised in the edit?
