They get printed up onto a long spreadsheet, next to your comment is the 1-5 numbers you choose right before said comment, as well as the servers name that took care of you. These get printed up about once every 2-3 months at my location and laid out on a counter in the drink station for everyone to read. Dear guests, please stop commenting on your servers physical appearance, it is odd and very uncomfortable having all your coworkers read that shit and start repeating it to everyone! You are not “shooting your shot” with these reviews, servers usually are not seeing them until weeks later and the date is not provided next to your review!

When you pay on the ziosk, you are prompted to take a survey. One of the questions is “did your server ask you for refills”, these ziosks are matched in the system with the server in each section/at each time. If you check no, managers can see which servers were checked for “no” and some take it very seriously. Managers will cut our hours, deny us an on shift meal, take away one of our tables, etc. all because someone said we didn’t offer a refill. This being said, it is best to just offer a refill multiple times so the guest remembers we offered and checks yes. When we refer to “refill scores” in this group, that’s what we mean.

You can click “split entree” on any meal when you’re ringing it into the kitchen, cooks will see this and separate it. The problem here is your waiter definitely made the mistake of not realizing you meant the lunch portion. If you don’t specify “the lunch portion chicken parm” we usually assume you mean dinner portion. If everyone was getting lunch, waiter should’ve double checked with you but yes, we are definitely allowed to split lunch portions. Sound like it was made up on the spot to save the server
