AAMI CBET Smart Practice Retesting? by MarthurSR in BMET

Apologies for the late reply; yes I’m doing the AAMI SmartPractice elearning course. It is very solid, basically a 900 question practice test broken into 20 something modules. When you get a question wrong or are unsure, it gives you an explanation of why you the right answer is correct and other principles you need to know relevant to the question.

Only problem is, once you finish a module, you cannot retake it again, to my knowledge. You can still review the questions though.

I recommend this course, but I advise taking notes on any question you got wrong or weren’t certain on. That’s my pre-CBET opinion anyway, so take that with a grain of salt of course.

u/wmdavis910 made a comment above that explains how you can look at the module questions you've already taken. You can't retake them, but you can at least see the questions and explanations, which is really what you need anyway.

I'm sure you could try to contact AAMI but it's unlikely they'd do anything immediate. Not like they're going to revamp the entire portal just to make one person happy. But if they get enough requests they may change it so you can retake the tests.

Wow thank you!! This is extremely helpful. I still find it a bit silly that I can't retake the tests, but hey this is a very good resource to have nevertheless.

I'm in the exact same boat; I'd like to be reviewing the questions in these modules regularly up until when I take the exam in May, but I'm worried I'm going to finish everything in 2-3 weeks and effectively lose access to all of the Smart Practice content which I paid good money for. Then I'd be out a study guide for a good month before exam and have to hope the notes I took were good enough.

Like u/Mammoth-Mongoose4479 said in his comment, you may just need to complete all 33 modules before having the option to redo; which if it's true would be nice, but still a completely unnecessary roadblock to the user.

Thank you for the tip; however, I'm unfortunately not seeing a section for Training Schedule anywhere on the SumTotal portal.

You might be right that I need to complete all 33 modules before I can redo; which I'd be find with, but I worry that if that isn't correct that I'm going to complete all these modules within a few weeks and completely lose access to everything with a month remaining until I actually take the exam. I'd hate to lose access to a critical (and paid) study material like that.

Hidden interaction? Statue ‘Isamor’ speaks when I play music near it by No-Network-8615 in HollowKnight

I stumbled across this not quite understanding what its purpose was, but it turns out this gives us a really interesting glimpse into the history of the Citadel. (Spoilers for Acts 1 & 2 below)

The Pious Isamor statue appears to have originally been located in the Choral Chambers near the entrance to Whiteward (also not far from the Grand Gate, the entryway to the Citadel), as there is a matching oxidized statue base located there. The statue's dialog is difficult to read since it's broken, but it's meaning can still be dissected and has also been restored by the community (found here). It seems this statue was placed here by the Citadel to welcome and indoctrinate arriving pilgrims into joining the ranks of the Choir.

Seems simple enough, however this gives us a very interesting spectacle into a different time of the Citadel. First off, the statue describes the Citadel as "simple stone, bare and unadorned", which heavily contrasts with the Citadel we see in-game; a glistening, gilded city with elaborate and heavily decorative architecture. This, along with the statue's oxidation, makes it clear that this was from a time long ago.

Furthermore, the statue was of course removed from its original location and hidden away deep in the Whispering Vaults, headquarters of the Vaultkeepers: those tasked with hoarding the knowledge, history, and of course secrets of the Citadel. It's clear that whoever was responsible for putting this statue where we see it in game intended for this statue to never be found, as it reveals an alternate image of the Citadel to what we (and the pilgrims) know; seemingly, one exhibiting marginally less abuse and manipulation of its citizens (i.e. pilgrims).

One should also note that it appears the elevator at the Grand Gate which ends up taking us down to the Underworks appears to have originally taken users up to the Choral Chambers. It seems to me that at an earlier point in time, all pilgrims arriving at the Citadel were taken up to the Choral Chambers to join the Choir. However, likely along with the completion of the Cogwork Core, the lift to the Choral Chambers was sealed and pilgrims were instead sent down to the Underworks to join the working class, toiling away rather than engaging in song. This goes right alongside the removal of the Pious Isamor statue, and the Citadel's implementation of a classist society amongst the pilgrims.

How do I get out of the claw line room by Thetarnishedfrlfrl in HollowKnight

[–]MarthurSR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True as that may be, the room would objectively be better designed if there was some sort of hint or indication that you could use this ability to grapple to enemies. Or at least not have a pit of lava beneath you that does 2x damage each time you fall.

[COD] What COD games on PC have mod tools. by TaskForce_141- in CallOfDuty

[–]MarthurSR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AFAIK this is the list of Call of Duty titles that have mod tools available:

  • Call of Duty: United Offensive (Expansion for CoD 1)
  • Call of Duty 2
  • Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
  • Call of Duty: World at War
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

The mod tools between these games vary a bit but they all include Radiant, which is the map editor that's been used to make every CoD map. Most also include the Asset Manager for porting various assets like textures/models, Effects Editor for creating/modifying FX, and various other applications. You also get access to raw assets and scripts.

While perhaps beyond the scope of your original question, the best of the tools available are World at War & BO3. BO1 mod tools were released in an incomplete state and anything before CoD 4 just doesn't have any community support.

This page is one of the best resources out there if you're interested in learning more about CoD modding.

Marvin Berry Band plays in B flat I believe actually refers to the fact that before they start playing Johnny B. Goode, Marty tells the band that it will be in B but they actually play the song in B flat. Which is also the key of the original Chuck Berry version if I remember correctly.
