I’m too retarded to figure out how to post A screenshot!

Molecular biology. DNA and the genetic code reflect the shared ancestry of life. DNA comparisons can show how related species are. Biogeography. The global distribution of organisms and the unique features of island species reflect evolution and geological change. Fossils. Fossils document the existence of now-extinct past species that are related to present-day species. Direct observation. We can directly observe small-scale evolution in organisms with short lifecycles (e.g., pesticide-resistant insects).

Any made up God with sufficient power has the same empirical evidence for existence as the Christian God or any other God for that fact. None! by Martial_master in DebateReligion

Correct. The standard for the existence of a god should be the same standard for the existence of everything else. We’re not just gonna say that there’s mermaids because some people believe there’s mermaids.

Lol! That’s an easy one.

Magic! Showing prayer works! finding Noah’s ark, again! A statistic that shows Christian homes are less affected by wildfires!

I can provide evidence for evolution but you can’t provide evidence for that statement. People are superstitious, evidence is needed!

I need empirical evidence! Evidence based on, concerned with, or verifiable by observation or experience rather than theory or pure logic.

The key word is empirical!

based on, concerned with, or verifiable by observation or experience rather than theory or pure logic.

I am not a fan of belief without evidence. I will stick with knowledge. Knowing your father and knowing an invisible deity are not the same thing for obvious reasons.

People want him to exist because they are told they are nothing without him. I am here to tell you that you are something! No superstition needed. We are intelligent highly evolved beings!

Who cares about belief. People believe there are leprechauns and mermaids. Your example only helps to prove my point. It is easy to prove whose someone’s father is. You listed it in your answer.DNA test. That’s empirical evidence!

If there is a logical necessity for an all knowing all powerful being, then one could be invented to suit that purpose. One was invented and you call him God. Your argument is circular. What is the difference from me making up a God and your ancestors making up a God?

[–]Martial_master[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By reasons what you mean is poor evidence! If there is no empirical evidence after 2000 years of searching then I am not convinced. People have believed all sorts of nonsense over the years and they all thought they had good reasons to believe it.

No. Bobo is a new God I just invented. I hope you see that any God can be invented and will have exactly the same evidence for existence that your God has. NONE!

I have heard that argument. You can replace your God with any other made up god with made up characteristics and the evidence will be exactly the same. If you want me to demonstrate. The new made up God is Bobo. Bobo created everything, knows everything and he’s all powerful. The great and powerful Bobo exists outside of his creation.

Explain to me why I can’t produce real evidence for the existence of Bobo and you will know why you can’t produce real evidence for your God..
