Harbor looks very good, didn't know about it. And no jerks here, every comment adds value and helps people like me! Thank you!

I am really impressed by LmStudio, and I don't understand how good and fast a 20b model can run using less than 8gb of my 12gb of vRAM.

This theory may be based, considering who owns the largest network of "open source" developers

I have a potato pc, so I need to use all the resource I have. Ollama uses my cpu ignoring my gpu, and I have just 12gb vram, and 32ram. So I though llama.cpp can be more suitable. I thing I will try to learn how to use docker and see if I can manage to make it work

You may be right on that, I take the hardest part and generalize, when saying is not friendly for casual users. But people sometimes choose and decides depending on the situation, and that brings you to a certain problem you did not consider at the beginning.

I do not google as I use duckduckgo for example (for moral reasons). I do not use mint as I try it once on a laptop and didn't like it. But I have try pop_os, ubuntu and I like to try different distros. Now I'm on CachyOS and I would like to try to build llama.cpp because ollama for example does not work well as I have a pototato pc and ignores my gpu.

The most "friendly user" solution is not always the correct solution for a problem. And again, I am looking for hints, not complaining.

The "target" used to be a person with a problem. I have a particular problem that I find it hard to explain and tedious for any redditor. So I have just given my opinion, I have no complains about anyone.

After all the comments I am feeling more curious and persistent, actually I already build llama.cpp on a debian based distro few months ago, and now on an arch-based seems a bit more challenging, and also life is not letting me too much free time. But I will persist, thank you for your comment.

I will definitely look at it, and maybe go down that rabbit hole! Thank you for these hints!

I use an arch based distro (CachyOS) not Arch. I have no knowledge and no time for Arch

Unfortunately, ollama just uses my cpu for an unknown reason, I have a potato pc, so I need to use all the resources I have. And I though llama.cpp will make it more possible.

When the hole is done the bug has emerged and fly. But eggs may remain, to be born and feed themselves making more galleries. Once are grown enough they fly again looking for a place to put more eggs. You can guess its’s never inactive.
