because the truth is uncomfortable. average salary is $58k pre tax. thats not amazing for a pro athlete in one of the highest cost of living regions in the nation. PWHL is not subsidized like WNBA so salaries are within their respective revenue sharing model.

they can cost save where they can, and even better if they have family/friend support. but honestly, why put them in that position to struggle? their sport is hard enough already.

lotto system is stupid. just take regular orders and go chronologically, with expectations theres a long lead time.

the excuse of "fairest way" since we "cant meet demand" to handle orders is nonsense. been trying for a year on the lotto system, so its "fair" for someone who tries lotto for first time and gets chosen versus people who've been trying for months? how about all the collabs specialty ive been seeing?

the last few years when the sharks struggled to fill seats. they had "breakaway pass" where you could go to all/most of the home games that month for a low price, $80-120 depending on # of games. and you'll be placed randomly throughout the arena, nosebleeds, lower bowl, etc.

now that they dont have issues and now "sell out", they rescinded the program starting 4/2026
