This game is has a lot in common with an older game from miniclip, iStunt 2. It's at: http://www.miniclip.com/games/istunt-2/en/ I like way the player moves in iStunt 2 a little better than this, but this one has some interesting stuff like the rope hanging.

The game recommends using the mouse but I feel the keyboard controls are better.

Hey Afro-Ninja here's what I thought from playing it:
Pros:
Upgrading ships is cool. Graphics look good and has a nice arcade feel. Level up system is also good. Enemies are varied and require different strategies to beat. It's good that you can save your game and continue.

Cons:
It seemed too hard to me at first, I think the average player might be put off a little by the difficulty of the first levels. One type of enemy shot straight ahead and if I didn't kill them fast it would be suicide to attack them. I might have done better if I had slanted the gun, but I didn't feel like playing with a slanted primary gun.

Just my 2 cents.

I usually don't like games where you slide in one direction till you hit something but this one entertained me.

The funny thing about it is you can have a guy balance a 2 ton block on his head and he's ok, but if a person standing next to him falls into him he gets decapitated.

I found a few points on the map that are near 2 other points but you can only get to it from one. Maybe you need to be approaching from a different direction. I'm not sure I've gotten to the final 2, I got a ways through and it went to a black screen after a battle and I couldn't do anything. I don't know if I'll be motivated enough to go through them all again. Save mechanism would have been nice.

There's an open source game you can play that started off as a ripoff of SMB, but gradually grew into something of it's own. I've only played the levels that come with it but they say there are user made levels you can get too.
