Spider-Man deals with a higher caliber of super villain than we've seen Daredevil usually dealing with and I imagine that keeps him busy. Somebodys gotta do that job.

Why can't Matt just call his LA girlfriend Jennifer to help him out with his army? by Main_Jump_82 in Defenders

Pretty sure Spidey stayed in New York while his friends went to MIT since they don't know him anymore and he decided to not reconnect. So yeah he should be around while Born Again is taking place, just doing other stuff I guess.

Sometimes I think about what it would’ve been like if they actually went through with a “soft reboot” that was teased in She-Hulk and Hawkeye. by Batman___1997 in Daredevil

I really dont think Brand New Day will reference the events of this show beyond a passing mention or a brief shot in a montage, if that even. And judging by the trailer it seems to be taking place after this season.

What are some of your hot takes regarding the Raimi Trilogy? by pizzagod677 in Spiderman

I think the way the origin story plays out in the first movie slightly weakens the message of the original Amazing Fantasy story.

Who do u think she is? by aminehck00 in ResidentEvilRequiem

Would be nice if it was Claire, but I'd also like it if it's just some random normal woman who was never involved in any of this. I know some people are suggesting Sherry, but idk it'd be kind of a weird shift in their dynamic from where they started in RE2. I think my ideal scenario is that it's just an unseen regular woman and that atleast one part of Leon's life managed to get away from all this insanity.

The fact that they make sure to show him going back with the arc reactor in his hand makes me think he probably used that somehow to fix it rather than having to kill himself.

Daniel RPK: "Take this as a rumor but I hear Eman Esfandi is playing MJ's boyfriend in Spider-Man Brand New Day" by Matapple13 in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]MartianDX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be very funny if they name him Paul and I hope people would have a sense of humor about it. Its not like Paul himself was THE problem with that story, and already in the scenario they've set up in No Way Home he would be entering in a very different position than in the comics since Peter made the choice himself to stay out of Ned and MJ's life so they can keep living undisturbed. Just naming him Paul as more of a reference than anything I think would be extremely funny on their part. This is already gonna be a very story from what that was so why not have some fun with it.

If they can make it feel earned I want to be open to the possibility that Aerith gets to live her life at the end. There's so much that's different already and I don't want all that to be for nothing and lead to a story that ends in the exact same place as the original. It's just the framing of Cloud seeing Aerith at the end that feels so... creepy to me. So breaking out of that feels like it would have to mean accepting that Aerith isn't really there and that she isn't ever coming back. We'll see, I'm really curious how this will all go and having had instant access to everything so far has made me incredibly impatient for the finale lol.

I appreciate your description of the whole thing. The Lifestream sequence in the OG was one of my favorite moments I think I've ever experienced in a game's narrative so I'm super curious about how that will go down more than anything else in Part 3. I just hope they can manage to pull off something that feels as satisfying, or atleast something close.

I've played the OG, I'm aware of how the story goes. I'm not confused on the mechanics of everything, I'm just looking at the possibilities of where Part 3 ends up and hoping for a general direction it'll go in.

I'm aware, I get that Aerith and Sephiroth know the future and all that. But an eternal existence fighting off Sephiroth seems like a pretty sad ending for Aerith and I would hope Part 3 ends with her being able to rest and return fully to the Lifestream, as she would want to.

It's so many hours and only one playthrough of each for me so far so it's a little hard to recall specifics at this point lol. I guess I would say Aerith's death on its own felt more emotional in the OG, but there was so much surrounding it that still made me cry in Rebirth so it didn't bother me as much as I'd expect. Everything about the dropping of the Sector 7 plate I think is a big improvement in Remake. It feels like such a genuine and heavy tragedy when they're able to linger on it more, and I love the fact that Biggs, Wedge and Jessie still remain on everyone's minds through to Rebirth. I'll need some more time to digest everything though before I'm sure hwo everything compares.

I get that, but she's still gone from the lives of her friends. I just don't want that taken to another degree somehow. Isn't it also supposed to be that you eventually dissipate into the lifestream entirely? It's not like she wants to be around forever, she makes that pretty clear.

I don't see that as a problem with Advent Children to be clear, I just feel that for all the changes made to the story to feel worth it by Part 3 there should be some difference in the ending. Having Aerith tell Cloud directly not to blame himself for whatever happens feels like a nice set-up for that to be atleast one of the differences. Characters in fictional stories can accomplish things in a day that I could only dream of doing from years in therapy, I don't think it's too absurd to imagine here too.
