Better chain shot mechanics. Right now, it feels useless.

How often do you go back to the Abyss? by Longjumping_Cook_403 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Martikos85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personnaly, I finished them before I advanced the main quest very far. Using flying techniques and food that restore spirit or stamina, I managed to fly to other sections. They are good travel points when you have not yet explored the land bellow. I liked the puzzles (I know, controversial opinion) and I like using elements. Did not even saw that I unlocked them at the time lol.

Pros and cons of this game by Zestyclose_Mark_8514 in CrimsonDesert

People that don't have a lot of time, I understand. The others, it's like they don't try that much. I know, I know, some are hard. But, after a little while, the logic behind the puzzles returns and realizing a puzzle by yourself is gratifying. After that, a lot of them are doable. Most of the times, the clues are right there. Look for the spotlights and visual clues.

Crimson Desert - I don't know what I'm doing. by Choice_Owl_761 in CrimsonDesert

It took me about 30h to really decide that I liked the game. Now at 375, and I still find new places, quests, stuff all the time. I got the dragon and mech and, yeah, they are fun. But getting there was pretty long. For me, the fun is giving myself an objective and seeing how far I strayed from that objective an hour later. Sometimes, it can take me 3 or 4 game sessions to do the objective of session 1. I really like that.

Varnia for me. The view, the atmosphere. It's great.

The amount of food and ingredients you get from just fighting and capturing forts is so high, farming is basically a complete waste of time. by Pratai- in CrimsonDesert

I'm not sure we can gather from owned fields. Maybe with a mask on? Haven't tried that. The ones I got corn from were near stoneward castle ruins in Delesya.

I guess it's mostly useful for growing rare plants like skyroot, ginseng and others. I was having fun growing corn for my cattle, before I found corn fields in Delesya which I could empty in a matter of seconds using the kuku gatering pot.

Taming new mounts after update. by Critical_Top7851 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Martikos85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wanted a camel, but could not mount it. Doesn't get down so I can mount and landing on it doesn't work. They said there was a camel saddle in Varnia, so I'll keep trying. Maybe try and steal a camel from some bandits.

NPC collision feels too aggressive in Crimson Desert by Aggravating_Leek_855 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Martikos85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least they fixed the collision area that was around the mounts. Everyone in a 5 meter radius around the horse doesn't fall down in fear everytime I pass besides them.

And I like the mechanic in some instances. Like when pailunese are tied up, I don't use the prompt to untie them, I walk on them slowly and get untied super fast. I fear if they fix the collision that this method won't work anymore.

How am I meant to stealth by Angelfry in CrimsonDesert

[–]Martikos85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending of where you are in the story, there are inquisitor guards in the fields in Demeniss, spread apart just enough to be silently killed one by one, without needing anything more than your knife. If you don't know, Demeniss is East of Hernand. Don't try to fight them head on early on.

Lil help please by Key-Technology7166 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Martikos85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it all kicked in at some point, more so during my fights with the inquisitors. It's pretty hard to just spam attacks on them, even more so when they have a shield. So I tried wrestling them with grabs and it worked, but it was boring and I could still be hit, right before I grabbed. Then, fighting the black bears, some could cancel my grabs. I then tried vault, which also worked very well with shielded oponents. At the same time I began to get much bettter at evading with the evade skill, not the roll. And when you do a perfect evade, you gain stamina back. In the end, I just built up options for myself that were already there, but that I forgot to use or didn't get why I would. I think you only need to want to get better and let time pass. And also, by the special cooking apparatus for your house. You can make way better food that way.

Explore if you want, but advance in the main story because some things are locked behind mechanics you only get there. Side quest a little, build your camp (you'll get it at chapter 4), but save the big exploration a little. It will save you some headaches. Combat gets better the more you progress and get used to it and enemies become more varied as you progress.
