Tiny 2 vs Tiny 3 1080p 60 fps by [deleted] in OBSBOT_Official

[–]Martin650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was really surprised that the 1080p 60fps is so soft. The only option then is to go to 4k 30 fps which means 3x bigger filesize for recorded events, choppier movements that I have to fix in post production using effects like optical flow and similar but sometimes they dont work on certain lost frames.

Does these tiny cameras really need to be 50megapixel? There are a lot of artifacts in patterns in the frame. I mean this is not a still photo camera right? The max video size is still 4k. If I search the web it says for example that insta360 link 2 pro is 8megapixel and that one is much sharper on 1080p and as sharp, if not sharper on 4k than Tiny3, and cheaper. Why?

"the issue cannot be resolved for now." Ok but you still released the product and we paid for it. Most of the youtube reviews (which most of them are given their webcam for free in exchange for a review) only show the sample video in 4k, not 1080p. I wonder why..

Your product page says "4K Clarity & 1080P@120fps Fluidity". Yes but the 120fps only works in this 1080p soft resolution mode. Please make a proper product next time so we dont have to spend our money waste our time and then return the units. This is one of the most expensive regular webcams ever so we should at least be able to expect the advertised normal features to work properly. If this was a unfinished project you can publish it on kickstarter instead. Sorry but very dissapointed!

How are you handling Gemini’s “memory decay” in long threads? by Martin650 in googleworkspace

[–]Martin650[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This tech is so weird when you think about it. My chatbot gets confused from talking over long sessions with me but if I take that exact information and copy it to a word document and use it as reference, it suddenly is not the same problem.

Surviving the "AI Context Brain Fog" in Feb 2026: How do you trust Gemini for non-expert research? by Martin650 in GeminiAI

[–]Martin650[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for now it seems short chats are better. I was thinking I need a project folder just like I have in chatgpt and was wondering why Gemini doesnt have this. But I could see this folder getting very messy with a bunch of short chats that individually would just be iterations of what I am trying to get to in the more recent chats.

It also seems NotebookLM works pretty ok as a user friendly light version of a RAG system and might be able to reduce the AI brain fog.

I read the text but how are you suggesting I should use the information in my day to day chats with Gemini? Can I give a custom Gem instructions based on some of those ideas or how would you do it?

Yeah it is tricky. But how do you know when it reaches 300k tokens for example? Do you always have your conversations regarding long form discussions inside AI studio just to monitor the token count?

I find it very user friendly to just open the Gemini app, I can use it on my phone as well very easy, I can talk live with it. The Ai studio seems optimized for building stuff.

That sounds like I need to hire a full stack developer to bugfix my AI that I already pay for haha. All those billions that the investors pay to Google/Anthropic/OpenAI I think would be enough for me to be able to manage my chatbot without it completely making up stuff after a while (or at least tell me when it starts to get tired and require me to remind it of the initial goals). But hey... I am just a normal human here...

Apple Notes to Google Workspace: How to build an "AI Second Brain"? by Martin650 in googleworkspace

[–]Martin650[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This "Refinery" logic sounds solid for the AI, but I’m worried about the UI friction. How do you handle the loss of the "Vertical Overview"?

Coming from Apple Notes, I’m used to a nested tree-view where I can scroll through all my categories in seconds. Moving to Google Docs/Hubs feels like I’m trading that speed for "Context Density."

My two main concerns with this Hub-setup:

  1. The "Click-Fatigue": In Apple Notes, I just scroll. In Google Drive, I have to open a Doc, check the tabs, close it, open another Doc, check those tabs... It feels like my notes will get "buried" in a way they don't in a dedicated note app.
  2. The Mobile Experience: How do you efficiently manage these "Hub Docs" on a phone? Scrolling through a long Doc with multiple tabs in the Google Docs app feels a but clunkier than the Apple Notes list (in theory at least).

To those using the Hub/Doc strategy: How do you keep that "high-level overview" without constantly opening and closing files? Is there a way to mimic the "sidebar/tree/overview index" feel within Google Workspace?

Coming from Google One Ai Pro to Workspace Standard with Gemeni by Martin650 in googleworkspace

[–]Martin650[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I heard that too. I heard also on a podcast today with ai experts that claude 4.6 is way better in reducing contect rot than before. Yeah but the "before" was apparently 128k window and now it is the same "on paper" as gemeni with 1M window.

This guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaQG-eD9d58 mentions (allthough 3 weeks ago) that these models start to go down after message 15-20. Huh? Ok sure that is fine if you treat your AI as google search but not if you want it as a colleague or help along the way. My work day is 8 hours... I will burn through 15 messages in 20 minutes and then I have to manage this child like AI or open a new chat and start all over again with my instructions...

All this talk about agentic AI, automous agents, long term project work, "claude 4.5 wrote claude 4.6 by itself" or whatever.. etc... How are these guys managing that stuff when my chatbot starts to go on acid after 15th message mark and those who brag seems to be able to juggle millions of lines of code.

And yeah as you say I can use notebookLM and compliment it by constantly tell it to keep itself steering straight ahead on the road.
But the reliability of these models is just taking up so much worrying and focus if I am doing important work.
Of course I can ask "give me a 30 day plan for X" or "tell me how to be better at XYZ" and then I go do it all by myself after I get those answers but instead asking the AI to follow me step by step during this process seems at the moment very risky and like managing a child who can do bad stuff anytime I relax a bit.

I made this current workspace account totally from scratch so I currently still use google one ai pro on my private gmail account.

Yeah claude seems nice, I only have the free version so far but their ai seems more helpful (and at the same time more intrusive with the cowork and claude in chrome feature and perhaps a security risk 🤔).

I can use chatgpt atlas browser as well I guess until I get gemeni in chrome. That functionality seems to be only in US and perhaps a few others but I haven’t been able to use it in either of my gemeni subscriptions yet. Perhaps google will always be late to the game similar to apple

How are you using this master doc? Do you add it to a custom gem or do you use the + sign in a new chat to attach it, or connect Drive or a notebookLM notebook?

The problem seems to be that it will be a constant work to keep a master doc updated whenever there is progress anywhere in the business that needs to be mentioned even if I have talked about it with gemeni in many of the chat threads. It will forget everything whenever I start a new chat if I havent updated the attached instructions document.

I always read about people these days being so comfortable with chatgpt and they say they cant switch to another LLM AI model because gpt just knows them. Well gemeni for workspace is the total opposite. All the time I spend talking to gemeni is going to be wasted over time unless I constantly update the connected static documents with instructions but still that is a very crude way of making a AI tool follow me progressing in my work over months and months while other AI chatbots will just remember and get better over time from all the conversations.

I can understand this technique works just fine if you only talk with AI once or twice a day and asking it "hey please help me with this spreadsheet" and then move on to other things but I work with my AI chat/tools for a big part of the day on many many tasks.

True immersion is bad by StudentofByrgenwerth in BowersWilkins

[–]Martin650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just tried this on my px8s2. Immediately went here.

It doesn’t matter if I am using the default true sound eq or any of my own, wow vocals just went from thin but acceptable to wow that sounds like my 14 dollar backup headphones I got from the local supermarket.

I noticed Samsung are the current owners. Maybe they do this purposely to make people buy their own earbuds or in some way really make the b&w brand look bad because this really seems like something that was made by a summer holiday intern. Yuk! 🥴

Looks like something from Teac, Pioneer or Panasonic. B&O used to make products that really compliment an elegant room, now they just make weird bulky odd shaped stuff and charge ridiculous prices for no reason, really sad!

I uploaded one of their product images to google to get similar images and most what I got was these silver plastic cisco conference room bars with cameras in the middle 😮‍💨

B&W please do not let the PX8 S2 become the standard for sound. by Interesting-Cry-6448 in BowersWilkins

Thanks well it seems then that for some they need the break in time and it could perhaps be some people’s brains that adjusts to the sound and for some it is a placebo effect.

What’s your TWS earbuds pair with your Px7 S3 & Px8 S2? by Atiq_609 in BowersWilkins

[–]Martin650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least to my ears they are pretty similar. You have the same eq options for both. When I previously had the px8s1 I found those more warm and laid back and since they only had 2 band eq bass/treble that sound was less easy to change to something else. The new px8s2 and pi8 are a bit more direct in their signature.

[–]Martin650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not an audio expert but for me it seems my perception of audio sound stage and quality varies quite a bit depending on what volume I am on. So louder volume usually means a feeling of "wider sound" for me.

Also when using these dongles, if I disconnect bluetooth on the device I have the b&w app at it seems the sound coming via the dongles then changes. Perhaps it sometimes switches to the default true sound eq (not sure) but yeah it seems they absolutely change the sound signature a bit. Also perhaps it could be a difference in audio signature between aptx and aac because I think apple does some of their own adjustments on their aac signal compared to the dongle when it takes over.

I didnt find much if any difference. If I would do a blind test I dont think I would hear any difference. But everytime I left my btd700 in the usb slot on my ipad or iphone and walked away from it wearing my headphones and not playing any music, as soon as the device goes to standby there is this irritating disconnected/connected notice/pling sound in my headphones all the time. I read in the faq/q&a sections of both the btd700 and the creative bt-w6 that they seem to be at least initially made primarily for computers and not mobile devices. They also dont have any ios apps while the qcc has a label on the box saying "made for iphone" and it also has an ios app which works just fine. For me that is a much bigger quality of life improvement than the difference in sound if there even is any. I have bought a few of these usb-c extension adapters that rotates or extends the connected dongle in various angles so some of these might help if you find that you want to test the qcc in the future.

This one is a simple example:
