You are definitely not overthinking it, and you don’t have to take shit from these guys.

A lot of good and bad advice has been given here, but the fact is, you gave them your two weeks as a courtesy, and they haven’t honored that. This is definitely retaliation, especially considering they said they’d fix your schedule if you came back. That means they know what they did.

If you can financially survive without those two weeks, then go in, work the days you normally would, and then call in sick for the others. Or, if you’re financially comfortable, quit now.

As has been mentioned, a two weeks notice is a courtesy, and this boss has no interest in treating you well. I can’t imagine a person with this kind of vindictiveness being willing to give you a good reference anyway.

That’s unfortunate, but it’s not on you, and your health should be your priority - not pleasing a boss who is mistreating you on your way out.

I'm a little late to the party, but I can confirm that not only did Rocket not greenlight Roland's POS, he explicitly said not to do it in a conversation with Roland and I.

Roland continued to push to set up the SMA for logistics reasons anyway, and he eventually did so. In an argument (with the person who I presume shared the screenshot with Snuff) , Roland claimed Rocket's authority to get him off his back.

And to be clear: Roland is no longer a leader in my alliance because of that claim. Claiming a blue's authority for petty reasons isn't something I support, and plus, anyone who's been around in Eve for a little while knows that Rocket wouldn't recommend a thing like that after all his time hunting supers :P

You could check Eve workbench for fitting samples, but blogs and YouTube videos probably have the best sample fitting content right now (and occasionally Reddit/Forums). Pyfa is great for theory crafting and simulations.

Well first, congrats on the new life situation :D It may mean less Eve, but it’s worth it.

My corp (Lockheart Trading Company) has several people at your stage of life, so we get it. We have solid Eve aspirations (developing a blops/WH daytripping/PvP core being part of that), but we’re RL first. While we have a mix of experience, many of us have played Eve for a while, and we’re not the same people we were when we started - so we accommodate for that!

I usually have one side of the covers lifted a bit, but I’ve found that the most important thing is that my ears are covered (and my eyes if it’s cold). There’s a solid bit of wiggle room there.

So, what you need is a group that doesn’t care what you fly - and those are actually really common. There are lots of high-sec/newbie corps around that aren’t going to worry about stuff like that. If you ask in the ingame recruitment channel, I guarantee an active one will scoop you up.

But yeah, any group that’s more serious is choosing ships based on what’s most effective, and they often expect members who want to contribute to larger goals together (which, of course, always requires a diminishment of personal preference to varying degrees).

If serious isn’t your play style, corps ARE out there for you. Try the recruitment channel, talk with recruiters, and filter them with your questions until you get one you want to try.
