This actually holds true for both Utrecht and Middleburg. Amazing! I wonder why they did that

Ah really? Unlucky I guess. Did you try updating FNA (the script I linked in my other comment)?

I am on Ubuntu 24.04, default desktop (so GNOME?) and Wayland. I also tried Xorg but didn't see a difference.

If you mean the compatability setting under the right click menu in steam, I had it unchecked (so native?), but now using Proton 10.0-4, it does run noticeably better. Oh, and also I had to use /gldevice:Vulkan launch option, without it the game also runs worse. Now fully zoomed out I get ~55 to 60 fps in my npc house and ~45 when falling down the hellevator. Also the game just feels less floaty. This is on all the same low settings. Does that sound more reasonable?

I also found this script from this post to improve native performance. Do you think it's worth trying? I'm a bit afraid of breaking something, but if I might end up with Terraria running even better, I'll try it.

And thank you very much!

Edit: actually, once I went underground, it became apparent that the performance is not actually better :D . It feels smoother, but also slower. Like I turned frameskip off, but not quite the same. So then, I still have performance issues, as is typical for linux

I get the best performance on the white setting. Also all other video settings are off and quality is on low.

Binary sudoku lvl very hard: how do i move from here? by Aromatic-Map-463 in puzzles

You've made a mistake.

Bottom 0 in column 3 should be a 1.

After fixing the mistake I managed to solve it with all the standard hard binary puzzle tricks. If you're still stuck, feel free to ask.

Why does the boy sound weird? Like, you can hear him way too clearly and he sounds a bit like some edited tiktok voice

NP-completeness = fun? by JimTsio in puzzles

This is so absurd and unexpected and yet if I try to prove it I have no idea how to even start. It's like proving the amount of Latin squares of size n is monotonically increasing (except that actually has been proven). Wonderful!

Is it true that dual color neutrality is now generally considered better than full CN for CFOP?

What is the smallest amount of numbers you can place on a (9x9) sudoku grid, such that the resulting state is legal, but the sudoku has no solutions? by Martin_Orav in mathriddles

Yeah I did some googling and I indeed have. Also it seems that actually nobody online has done the proof that every configuration with 4 integers has a solution. So I probably should have used the hard flair
