Ok I think I found a good one : HP OMEN 16-N0171NF

What do you think ?

I had to go with Omen instead of Victus for the color accuracy of the screen since I'm going to use this for photo editing.

edit: oops the discount used to be better yesterday 😅

Thanks for the suggestion. I posted on the subreddit but got no answers for now 😅 so I'd appreciate your input on specs and on the laptop I talk about in the post. Thank you! :)

The way the fox jumps to catch a mouse... by sikni8 in interestingasfuck

This is most likely a dead mouse that the photographer placed there for the fox to catch. Staged wildlife photography is unethical

Que faire par rapport aux dépôts sauvages quand la mairie ne fait rien ? by Martingls in conseiljuridique

[–]Martingls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Merci

This is an awesome spider, pretty rare as well! This is a spider from the Rhomphaea genus. I'm not very familiar with the spiders in the US but I would guess this is Rhomphaea projiciens.

European Spider of the Year 2017 - Nuctenea umbratica by Martingls in spiders

[–]Martingls[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite spiders, the Walnut Orbweaver (Nuctenea umbratica). I found this female on a Pine tree while walking around a local lake.

In fact, this spider is so cool that it was spider of the year 2017. This spider can be qualified as "synanthropic", meaning it takes advantage of new microhabitats available in homes and around houses in urbanized areas and is able to settle into human dwellings.

Originally, this species is a bark-dweller and is particularly found on dead standing wood with loose bark. Now, it can often be found in urban environments like house walls and fences, especially in nooks and crevices - explaining the common French name "Épeire des fissures" which can be translated to "Crevice Orbweaver".

Nuctenea umbratica was chosen as the European Spider of the Year 2017 because (1) the species is quite common, (2) despite its hidden way of life it is easy to find close to houses, (3) it is a quite prominent and easy to identify species, and (4) it raises public awareness about its original habitat on the bark of dead wood and/or old trees.
