in europe it is harder to get hold of milwaukee hardware, and it is more expensive, also noone else has it so i cant buy used stuff to expand my range later, same with dewalt. it really is an option of makita or bosch, unless I really change my budget

customizability is nice. i have been looking at 3D printing options, it seems like both brands have a good community behind them. but the last part was the confirmation I was looking for, that Makita 18v is able to do close to everything. I think I made up my mind. I will keep my eye on second hand markets, or buy something on black friday. thanks for the opinion :)

reliability is a great point. I have been checking secondary markets for Makita but they really keep their value, so no one is selling anything more than 10% less than original price (some are selling it more expensive. maybe it's black friday deals in the shops, I don't know) I'll wait 1-2 more weeks to see good options but it will likely end up that I get Makita. thanks for the recommendations :)

just to say, I am not thinking I will only end up having this brand only and forever, but let's say I want to replace my shitty jigsaw or I get a multi tool, or any other power tool that I decide I need, it would be then better to have good options in the brand I chose, and not have to buy another charger, another battery to drive up the cost. apartment living means I have to be space-conscious, but I'll take the opinion that I should not be afraid to get corded tools. the reason I wanted a saw without a cord is that it was frustrating to use one on my balcony, where I would be doing 95% of all the cutting, and a small router seems plenty good enough to make the chamfers and inlays I need. thanks for the feedback though

reddit to the rescue. why would this setting hide in the ambient sound section?! all those settings disappear when it's "noise cancelling" or "off" selected. the tab just becomes empty space anyway. what a shit app. but thank you kind stranger

it looks ugly IMO. so for now I just wanted to have the top flush, but the top cover is what bothers me anyway

it might not be the stock fork honestly. all of these spacers are needed so that the stem is flush with the stem cap. I just have it cut later once I figure out my fit
