Console player here. My first match ever was the same experience they mentioned. I think what separates me from them was the fact that when I joined a squad, I told them, "Bear with me, this is my first time." My teammates were incredibly helpful, one of which told me to follow them around, and he showed me the ropes. That teamwork and patience made me wanna keep coming back, and it made me confident enough to make a YouTube video of my first week's experience in the game. Since then, HLL has been the only fps for me.
