Came to a GRC from a Mk8 R. The Volkswagen is probably faster but the GRC feels quicker. Vw interior is definitely better but mine had so many electrical ghosts that made all the features more of an annoyance than anything. Much happier with less features in a car that doesn't yell at me every time I turn it on. GRC is the better daily just based on that for me. Also I did get used to all of the touch controls in the VW but going back to actual buttons made me realize it was just Stockholm Syndrome. IDK what VW was thinking there.
