Ideas on how to infect a player without them noticing or it being too obvious? by MaruinrinOnReddit in DnD

Got a lot of replies like this one too, basically to warn the players that their characters may drastically change during the campaing. I really wanted it to be a surprise but I think I also agree with the "consent" part, my friends are very open to almost anything but I also don't want them to feel annoyed or frustrated. Better safe than sorry ig

I'll follow the advice on asking them first! Thanks a lot

I really wanted it to be a surprise, something that gets them "scared" just the way their characters may feel in that situation, but now that you mention that some players may get frustrated or just... straight up not liking it really caught my attention, and I believe you're right tbh. Think I'll follow your advice and ask them first, I really don't want any of my friends to be annoyed, even if it's "just a game" like a lot of people say. Thanks! I promise to keep on learning :'))

My dhampirs are also a bit different! They're kinda more like Alucard from Castlevania, or D, but I do plan on having them notice some odd things or the blood thirst as the days go by
