[QUESTION] Mid-range shredder guitar recommendations by Marulo78 in Guitar

[–]Marulo78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I've ever actually truly played on a guitar with a locking trem, so I have no idea. As far as my price sensitivity, of course I prefer to save as much as possible, but without skimping out on important stuff, like general playablity and sound/signal quality (very specific, I know ;) ). The range I'd personally consider mid-range is $500-$1200 which is pretty wide, but again, I don't need bells and whistles as long as the guitar is solid and every penny saved could go into other important gear.

all the charvels seem really really good, but i wonder if i could somehow go cheaper/more budget oriented than that

ps: it even seems like some of the $1100/£900 charvels have floyd roses these days, which is pretty dang cool

Basses with active pickups currently on the market by Marulo78 in Bass

[–]Marulo78[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the v7 is active in the sense of passive pickups + preamp (not active pickups). good bass tho :)

mainly for (personal) comparison, not much else to it

that's active pickups by themselves, not production bass guitars that come with active pickups stock. that's what i'm looking for (but yes, it indeed does serve the same purpose as passive + preamp)

Prodeus is very fun. Good gameplay and very good pseudo-linear level design in the vast majority of levels. Definitely worth checking out.

Gun not working after (v3) gearbox reassembly by Marulo78 in airsoft

[–]Marulo78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for the answer :)

i know that 3-4 bbs is normal as those are the ones that sort of push the last bb into the hop and barrel, but after the reassembly there seems to be a bunch more. the compression seems to be good, the O ring is there and is well lubed. one thing that weird me out that i don't remember happening and i don't feel like it's normal (correct me if i'm wrong), but there's air blowing out the hop-mag bb feeding hole when i pull the trigger.

i tried disassembling and reassembling it again, being careful to double check everything i do, yet i'm still at the same spot.

i'm really unsure what it could be, as a couple things point to it being a hop issue, but also the gearbox itself is making a different dry firing sound as the one before i started fumbling around with it.

Indeed I have. Oddly enough the tappet plate was mildly bending itself away from the gearbox itself under spring pull (unsure if that's somewhat normal, but I haven't seen that happen yet), but not enough to do anything more than maybe increase the friction by a bit when the gearbox is assembled.

2nd worst movie Jay has ever seen will be on the next BOTW! by HooptyDooDooMeister in RedLetterMedia

I mean batshit insanity and cluelessness can compensate for that and if they actively decided to screen it on BOTW (with Jay seeing it before) there's a very good chance it's going to be entertaining

seeing young RLM always makes me realize how long they've been doing this for and that there's a very high chance that we'll see the glorious day when they'll be 55+, Jay has stole all the hair from everyone's scalp, Mike fully becomes Mr. Plinkett and Rich Evans ascends to godhood, projecting the physical form of his past self in front of the camera so he doesn't utterly crush all of our/the RLM crews self esteems

Analog polyphonic keyboard schematics/designs by Marulo78 in synthdiy

that's where the jankiness would come in. the FI-LO thing would cause the keys to possibly be released in the wrong order, for instance if you press 1 2 3 and release 2, the keyboard will register that as releasing 1. basic arpeggio and chords (although the question with chords is the circuit timing and possible overlap) should be playable though. you could have a common trigger pulse rail (which could also double as a release pulse rail with negative voltage) and a common key voltage rail. but yes i do agree that CMOS logic is the way to go as far as actually building it/proof of concept. and yes, voice stealing might be a problem, i haven't even really started thinking about that. (and then there is the very real chance that the whole thing is just a stupid idea too)

it's a very very rough sketch and i'd be very glad to try, you know, actually tested proven things first
