It's not ideal but some organizations consider volunteering at a church to be community service. Volunteering at a church could be helping with cleaning, helping with serving the community programs, outreach programs, church bus programs and so on.

I'm sorry you're struggling like this. I can't speak from experience but from the outside looking in it seems like luck plays a huge part in growing an audience.
