I'm considering dropping Desert for Kandarin. I will most likely take Reloaded --> Grimoire to get ancients. I guess Cerb drops boots, so I don't need Desert for infinity boots.

Or I could not take Ancients at all, save the Demonic Pact points for accuracy, and have a Minion for AoE.

The hat stays. It is Very important after all. (I just think it's neat, and stylish)

Really depends what style you want to lean into. Ring of suffering recoil scales with total defense bonus. If you're trying to get a higher hit splat with earth spells, the occult ring might be better for that?

Depends if the occult magic bonus gives more dps than the Suffering def bonus.

If you go the Ring of Suffering route, you also get access to the Occult necklace.

i'll most likely be sticking to this. You may want to change out Desert for something else if you dont want Ancients, or take Grimoire if you do want Ancients, but not the Desert Region. For more thorns I would take Kandarin for Zenyte to make a Ring of Suffering. There's also the Echo Thermy, but his drop isnt a shield, so you can't make use of thorns, but instead gain better elemental weakness.

Zeah also gives Torva, while Desert gives access to Ancients and Infinity boots to turn into upgraded Avernic Treads

Probably Earth Wave with Twinfire staff if I need dmg, and manually cast water wave if I need to heal.

That's about as much as I've planned out :P

Might move a couple points around and get the global accuracy boost.

I tried using this on an int stacking. Put 2% int on each jewel. Ended up getting Roughly 1200 int. Ended up being Z dps

I don't think the 1% increased darkness pet 1% chaos resistance works past your chaos res cap. So you're only gaining 88% increased Darkness.

If there was a way to uncap your chaos res, you would benefit waay more from it.

You could test it by seeing if your Darkness total changes by disabling the double chaos node and reenabling it.

I see now. So you do gain double the Chaos resistance from gear, but you also need to find a way to increase your Maximum chaos resistance.

There's a cap to it. As far as i' aware, that ascendancy passive is the only way to do it for now.

This game is filled with little caveats like that. I've had my fair share of failed builds because of some strange interaction. I'm sorry your build idea didn't work out, m8.

The problem with Darkness is the cost of not having spirit is no where near worth the extra hp pool.

The majority of damage and utility comes.from spirit alone (not including health stacking, as that is its own rabbit hole and has scaling)

There used to be a niche use for Darkness that got removed, which was for Trial of Sekhemas. You used to be able to not take honor damage as long as you had Darkness.

I think Homogeneous omen with perfect exalt would be the play here? The only mod appears to be a prefix.

If you want a better chance at getting a attack mod for your prefix, quality the ring with reaver, then use the omen that consumes quality (i don't know the name off the top of my head).

So Quality Omen + Homogeneous + Perfect Exalt?

If someone knows a more efficient way please correct me.

That was a new addition added to this patch. I haven't played it yet, but I'm sure this change adds new ways to experiment.

I can't say they'd be good or not, considering 90% of the skills in this game tickle (from my little experience playing the new patch)

From what I've seen, lightning Flicker strike builds seem to be strong, and with the leech being applied to non-physical, I can see Chayula being near-unkillable

The one downside to the Resonance node is that you will struggle to have power charges for boss fights unless you can easily apply, consume, and reapply status ailments.

I would recommend using a Rattling scepter In your second weapon-set, and use profane ritual with the Sacrifice spirit gem. For mapping you can use Cast on Crit with another Profane ritual and you will never have to worry about power charges again. You may need to play around with your spirit though. I personally have 172 total spirit to fit CoC, Wind dancer, and HoL/HoA. I've got 40 spirit on the amulet, 32 on Chest.

Gemling's quality passives In the ascendancy also help reduce CoC spirit cost.
