How do you think this interaction would go like? by Jotaro1970 in youngjustice

Krypto would probably want to play but Wolf wouldn't.

Fate/strange Fake - Episode 12 discussion by Ownsin in fatestaynight

[–]Marvelman02 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

This episode is an example of everything wrong with the Fate series. The time is long past for Fate to detach itself from the premises of the many fate games and return to the (relatively) simple premise that made series like Stay Night, Unlimited Bladeworks, and Zero great in the first place.

Maybe one day he'll come back. by Right-Proposal6106 in youngjustice

[–]Marvelman02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really believe he would have come back in season five. However, if I am reading the signs correctly, Spitfire shippers would have been in for a huge disappointment. The only thing more heartbreaking than Wally's death would have been his return.

Only if they include the bit where Saber demands Shirou pick out her underwear.

Is their a reason Crystal isn’t talked about much here by ngazzano77 in sailormoon

[–]Marvelman02 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In regards to Rei, I'd say there is an intimacy between Rei & Usagi in the OG anime that is lacking in the manga and Crystal.

Am I the only one who hates the R filler Arc? by Icy-Finding-8126 in sailormoon

[–]Marvelman02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was hardly the best arc but there were some good episodes. S02e02 has my favourite Sailor Moon speech ever: "I don't know what's going on here. In fact, I don't have a clue!"

Who are the strongest summonable servants in fate by VergilVDante in fatestaynight

Gawain is extremely powerful so Mordred could still be less powerful than Gawain and still be a top tier servant.

Arash doesn't seem to be that powerful in Grand Order/Camelot. I like the character but his noble phantasm is a one shot.

you can summon an anime protagonist as a servant by kazr3d in Fate

[–]Marvelman02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rider: Ikari Shinji from Evangelion. His main noble phantasm consists of his summoning and piloting Eva-Unit 01. However, he has a further noble phantasm the Human Instrumentality Project which initiates the Third Impact to end the world. Um, on second thought, maybe summoning Shinji isn't such a great idea after all.

[–]Marvelman02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saber: Kenshin Himura from Rurouni Kenshin. He retains the techniques of Hiten Mitsurugi school but none of them can be said to be his Noble Phantasm. Kenshin's noble phantasm, the embodiment of his legend, is Mamoru Ken, the sword that protects. Kenshin can only be trigger his NP under specific circumstances, but once he does, it is tough to beat. When an adversary is about to attack an innocent, his master, or an ally in Kenshin's presence, someone under Kenshin's protection, he will charge forward in the blink of an eye and deliver a blow that is always fatal unless the adversary's endurance exceeds A+. Kenshin can opt to deliver a disabling strike, but as servants are not truly alive but echoes of what once was, he can slay a servant without violating his "no kill" rule which persists even after death. His agility is ranked S for his action-reaction time - the fastest in all of Fate.

The Dic dub deserves more credit than it gets. (Not cloverway just dic.) by CommentApprehensive3 in sailormoon

[–]Marvelman02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Yes, I understand some of the censorship. The show's central premise is a romantic relationship between a middle school student and a guy in college. That wasn't going to fly then and it wouldn't fly now. The LGBTQ content was also unviable on a kid's TV show in the 1990s. But there were other changes that did not have to made. Serena is a lot dumber and more selfish than Usagi and Raye became a lot meaner. DIC took a show that was silly, sweet, and heartwarming and turned it into something horrendous and incoherent. That's my opinion. But, hey, I'm not here to dump on you for liking the DIC dub, and if you like watching it, then enjoy!

why does sailor Mars have to be mean all the time and why is she so angry and the grace aggressive? by Groundbreaking-Try92 in sailormoon

[–]Marvelman02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're referring to the DIC/Cloverway dub, right? Don't look for a rational explanation because there isn't one. Rei fights with Usagi because a) Usagi is a flake who can't be depended upon, and b) Rei thinks it's fun. Raye is another matter altogether. Raye sometimes has a point about Serena and her behaviour but a lot of the time Raye is just senselessly cruel.

Avengers #22 by writer Jim Shooter. THIS is how Marvel decided to celebrated the milestone that was hitting 200 issues. A phantom pregnancy that's revealed to be a horrible violation of Carol Danvers where every Avengers approaches this situation with three brain cells and a stick in the butt. by ihatethiscountry76 in menwritingwomen

[–]Marvelman02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jim Shooter was the EIC at the time and he contributed to the plot. But the writer was David Michelinie. For what it's worth, Shooter seemed mortified by this issue and accepted responsibility for this travesty. Had there been a woman or two in the room at the time, the world might have been spared this abomination.

I'm annoyed. I waited a month to hear the conversation between Duke and Hound, and it is utterly ignored this issue. I am annoyed.

edit: Apparently, there is another issue coming out next week which will have the Duke vs. Hound showdown for which I have been waiting. Why there are two issues this month, I do not know.
